Kyrgios feels Nadal get preferential treatment from umpires because of his status with the time he takes between points and Nadal thinks Kyrgios is disrespectful. Could be a humdinger.

Both are true. Still remember the umpire allowing extra time for a ballboy to reset Nadal's water bottles in his OCD position. I think that's unfair. If he needs his bottles lined up in a certain way that's his business, not anyone else's.

As someone said upthread - I like a bit of sh!thousery. On Saturday was watching him vs Tsitsipas and thinking "just shut the fvck up!". . . and he then plays two or three ridiculous shots that I see very few players make and I kinda like him again. Just lik McEnroe back in the day really

May be worth remembering that Kyrgios is having an "All or Nothing" style documentary made at the moment - this may affect his behaviour at certain times

I hope 2022 is the year we finally get over those dinosaurs… I hope Sinner, Alcaraz and Co. Take over… it’s about time the big three retire, seen enough of them

That's a fair point, I did hear him saying yesterday in an interview "Any publicity is good publicity".

My personal opinion is he should have been chucked off the court with his level of antics he showed in his match with Tsitsipas.

    It's cheating.

My personal opinion is that he was quite correct on the point of hitting a ball into the crowd.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

It's up to the younger players to get over the brilliance of the three wise goats, I mean men.

Agreed. The young guys can't be all that if they can't beat the old guys.

Imagine, you are both Tennis Pros. How would you both feel if you were drawn in match against him and he used his full repertoire of tactics?

Fvcking annoyed is the answer. I can't argue with the fact it's entertaining though, akin the Mac Daddy.

The match against Nakashima, I don't think he showed off once and he lost the first set. Whether one of his team/entourage had words?

If you were playing him and just ignored his antics he would just implode. That's why he doesn't generally beat the best players who are above his mind games.

Shouldn't it be about who can play the best Tennis though. I get sports about mental strength too, but there are limits. One of them being a bloke deliberately taking the p1ss. I would be staggered if he didn't come off the court with Tsitsipas (4th seed) thinking "how the hell did I get away with that one".

I can't believe that got a like. It's an example and free pass to take the p1ss.

He implodes eventually. Reaching only his 3rd career grand slam quarter final with his talent speaks volumes.

He’s only 27 though. Maybe he’s matured since the Tistipas match.

If Kyrgios had behaved like Tsitsipas in their match, he'd have been kicked out.

I guess in this regard, absolute credit has to be given to Nadal and Federer. I remember hearing Federer had his moments when he was younger.

He was a bit of a brat, but smart enough to realise and turn it around.

Could be a tough match for Djokovic this afternoon. Jannik Sinner looked very solid in the last round.

Seems to be holding his own at 5-5 in the first set . . .

Yeah, fair play, or not. Just as bad.
