He actually managed to stay with the GC guys until Pog launched his sprint yesterday so there must be something back in the legs.

Considering they finished 8-9 minutes behind the breakaway, I suspect they weren't exactly hammering it up the climb

He'd been dropped from the break hadn't he?
No, he kind of tried to get a break early on but didn't manage it.

It was so half hearted... it started before the commercial break and it was well over when ITV4 came back live... must have been a minute or 2

I like to look at the Tour tracker during the race - it’s great. He was in what the tracker called the peloton for the rest of the race. It was about 50 riders. It ended up around 20,

    Is today the day?

Would it be his first win in the alps?

I was thinking more in terms of 10 minutes in the breakaway or something

He's going to have a few grey hairs after following Pidcock down these two descents.

Anyone tempted to race him virtually up the final climb today?

I have a feeling my 56min best up Alpe Du Zwift might not put him to shame! :D

I never thought we'd even see this again though.

He could win from the right break I think. If he wants to keep riding and can do that, why not?

If he won the Tour by ten minutes, you'd find fault.
