Should Chris Froome swallow his pride and retire?

A prime example of why performance related pay should be put in contracts but well played Chris, well played.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.1 -
His agent is a magician. Unless it's Michelle

Is it part of his contract that he needs to say he's targeting the TdF?

Managed to come in with the peloton today despite there being a couple of cat 3s in the parcours.
There was a suspension to proceedings 30-40ks in which might have helped.

I've said it before, and I'll probably say it again, but he gets to choose what he does with his career. If IPT are prepared to take a risk on him returning to his former levels, and pay him accordingly, that's on them, not him.
That he's even racing still after the 2019 crash is amazing. He very nearly died that day, and will have physical issues from it for the rest of his life.

No, he came in with the bunch today as Ethan Vernon won the sprint

I think it essentially is. He holds the cards, if he wants to race they have to honour his contract. So he may as well say he wants to ride the TDF to ensure he is keeping up his end of the deal.

Waiting for someone to come on here and tell us that Froomedog will be back in 2025 so Pog and Jonas need to bow out now!
