Swift has come through his first GT very well.

Theuns badly ripped up in a fall and looking a bit annoyed.

The lack of spectators is eerie; like the TdF version of 28 Days Later.

How are they preventing spectators? I assume there's a cordon on all the approach streets.

The new barriers and road furniture is a bit intrusive

    Told people and they obeyed?

Completely pointless though seeing all the packed crowds along the route.

  • Great news for Movistar.
Covid meant no champers and beer along the route.
Result? they have been fair barrelling along and will finish very early.
Meaning tv won't have gone off air by the time they mount the podium. :D

  • Like the way they now go around the Arc de Triomphe; in the past they did a switch-back just short of it.
Maybe disadvantageous, though, to the break, because the field behind doesn't have to slow down as much as at a switch-back.

WvA to go over the top of the breakaway?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Lots of teams trying to get in on the chase and not doing it very well.

    Swift dropped.

Headwind on the finish straight? It seems to bunch up every time they go that direction.

Was starting to wonder if they could hold it off then. 15 seconds with everyone at terminal velocity might have made a tricky chase.
