    Ben & Jerry's

The purveyors of over priced junk food?

I mean, it's not like ministers have some more pressing things to do than get publicly annoyed at an ice cream company

Largest recession in the G7, highest excess death rate in Europe, A-level f*ck up, Brexit imminent.

Nah, let's shout at the ice cream firm.

She has played right into their hands. Well played B&J.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I'll side step the obvious "snowflake ice cream company" joke.

The purveyors of over priced junk food?
Having seen their products being on an almost constant discount in the last few months it seems like consumers already know this.

"Go woke to go broke" sums it up perfectly

Two sentences, both showing you don't know how marketing works.

It seems B&J's promotion of illegal migrants is in keeping with the slave labour they use in other countries. Maybe they are running short of slave labour in the UK?

I'm not surprised by their hypocrisy

Coop, have a day off. Take the wife somewhere nice for lunch.

    You'll feel better for it.

Just a reminder that seeming to show hypocrisy doesn't mean you're wrong.

    Carlton Kirby

Wot Bally said and yes, he's a plonker. Though a tool? He's quite banal and ultimately, benign.

He did some of the Le Mans 24h last year. All the other commentators talked about the technical stuff and team tactics in a calm, considered and deeply informative manner. Kirby waffled bollox incessantly and couldn't help laughing at his own jokes.

    If I play devils advocate...
You probably actually need somebody who can just waffle on incessantly and fill dead air time as there’s quite a lot of it in both cycle racing and 24hr motor racing.

The more thoughtful analysts are far more informative but quite incapable of talking endlessly due to the need to compose coherent thoughts. I believe I can give thoughtful analysis on lots of subjects but would struggle to fill air time endlessly.

I get your point Morstar but at least be funny, don't palpably annoy co-commentators and don't throw unnecessary veiled or direct digs in.
In all fairness, he's slightly better than David Duffield.
And actually, the pictures and all the on screen info suits me given a long pause in commentary.

I don’t mind him most of the time although at times he is cringeworthy. But then again I some times listen to the commentary in French, Dutch or Italian without being able to understand a word of what’s going on.

Is there not usually an "ambient" stream with no commentary?
I'm sure I clicked on it once by mistake.

There is but the co-commentators were excellent and insightful given the mayhem Le Man often appears to be. 1 sentence by them every 10 minutes was disproportionately better than 2 hours of continuous waffle from Kirby.

Now you're dissing the 'duff'. What next? Phil and Paul (RIP)?

    Bloody fascist!

Well, Phil is/was rather loved up with Lance "l ride clean" Hamilton even when the open secret was out.

Also, stop pretending that all is well now. Jiffybags anyone?

  • No, but thank you. I WhatsApped him and the volume has significantly reduced. Good neighbours on the whole enjoying a last warm summer evening before the teardrops mightily and the wet stuff hits.

Teardrop by Massive Attack is a great tune to annoy your neighbours with, should that be your tactic of choice. Needs decent bass speaker mind. 😉
