Not a surprise.ddraver said:Bahrain Merida release a list of riders whose contracts have been extended.
Mark Cavendish is not on it
With quite a few younger pros still not signed, difficult to see where he’s going to go.
To be fair, wherever he goes he will raise the profile of the team and take along some sponsors.

Michael Valgren joining EF for next season. That's a decent replacement for Vanmarcke.0

Bloody good rider, though it didn't work for him at NTT. EF should suit him nicely.andyp said:Michael Valgren joining EF for next season. That's a decent replacement for Vanmarcke.

I'm getting old. In my head he was a 20 year old neo pro. Actually 25 and I somehow missed him being at Alpecin last season.teebs_123 said:Harry Tanfield without a team for 2021. Certainly has the right attributes for Classics and shorter 7 day stage races.

Yeah, that was when I realised he was on the World Tour now. He had a reasonable TT and I remember reading on here he didn't know anything about the Angliru until the day before riding it. Looking at PCS he hasn't found the change in level very easy.gsk82 said:

Tom Jelte Slater has retired at the age of 31.
Tbh, I'd forgotten he was still racing (was with B&B Hotels this year)0 -
When did De Marchi and Sep Vanmarke sign for Israel? Missed that but there was an article on Eurosport with Dowsett where it was mentioned0

Another case of my mind playing tricks. I thought he'd been in contention for a few one week stage races back around the time Wiggins was winning them but PCS tells me I'm wrong yet again.takethehighroad said:Tom Jelte Slater has retired at the age of 31.
