Still no sign of Hirschi. Nothing from his camp about the DSM allegations. Zero. Zilch. No claim of an injury. Just total silence and a rider who blew last season up in a big way has apparently vanished.

    This is very weird.

We'll probably have to start a new thread soon, but there's a rumour that Joao Almeida is on his way to UAE.

    It's also the wrong thread.

As both Rick and I mentioned in said thread, debut pushed back to March 21st and the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya.
At the moment, his name is still on the startlist.
No show there and your post may have a point.

What exactly is the innuendo? Doping? Why is it special that he isn't racing right now. Plenty of riders in the past have started their seasons "late". We aren't even at MSR yet.

Isn't it more that they keep announcing he's racing somewhere then pulling him (on top of his sudden change of team at the end of last season)?

But what does that signify exactly?

That there's something going on. Beyond that, not much.

There was an article in a Dutch newspaper saying that the reason he left subweb or whatever they're called was because he "refused to answer certain questions" and it was not, as per previous reports, to do with the money.

Hence the strange timing of it and the secrecy around it (NDA signed etc).

Now if you watched cycling before 2012 you that is code for doping. But we don't know.

Seems weird in 2021 to then not report such things to anti doping as a team if that were the case and not sanctioned by the team.
