Seemingly trivial things that you give absolutely no f's about, but others go apeshít over.

Idle chit chat that my wife has with her mates.

No love, I really don’t give a toss about whether or not Sarah changes the colour of her living room. Or the detailed history of how Julie chose her new car. Etc etc etc

In a similar vein my wife would ask what we talked about in the pub, I tell her it was a load of sh!t she wouldn't be interested in and she seemed to think I was trying to hide something. Now I do an occasional virtual pub thing she can hear what's being said, she now understands that we really do talk a load of old sh!t she couldn't give two hoots about.

    Our topics are limited to:

Johan Museeuw at Tour of Flanders; and
How old will Davide Rebellin be when he eventually retires?

So a load of sh1te.

    Boxing.

No interest whatsoever, but the 'Big Fights', eg. Dyson vs Fury, just make me despair for the state of humanity. Especially the pre-match stuff where they have to get in each others faces etc. and grown men going to watch THAT? FFS

Made in Chelsea. I just don't get it. Is it real? Are they actors? Has me completely baffled.

    Gaming generally. eSports in particular.

It's not real. How can you get excited about it if you are over the age of about 17?

I can see how you would get into it if you play the games a lot.

Some of the things they can do are ridiculous.

The reactions and timing are phenomenal.

TBH I'm a bit perplexed at why my 14 year old son gets so annoyed when a game doesn't go well.

My eldest took driving tanks in video games to driving tanks in real life. The gunnery controller is basically the same as an Xbox controller.
Interestingly enough, Microsoft use the Kinect technology for remote medical work and all sorts of amazing stuff. Gaming technology has been proven to have similar trickle down impacts to motor racing technology.

I was going to write "Cake Stop going AWOL", then I thought about it, and decided I did actually miss it, even if the world didn't stop spinning in the meantime.

Keeping up with the current year's latest bikes from the major manufacturers that do a release every year. It's a waste of time. The marketing always makes each one sound so much better and guess what, they aren't. Not interested in the slightest in the latest Specialized or Trek for example, but for some reason people are.

In the absence of Cakestop I found that logging onto Twitter provided a similar experience of metropolitan liberals looking down their noses at everyone who don't share their opinions. 😉

Actually the thick end of a week with no Leftiebollox, Eurobollox or COVIDbollox has been quite refreshing. Good to see that life goes on without the forum.

The cost of the license fee.

Relatively small to fund an organisation that has the capability to project soft British power across the globe.

Or do you want Russia Today to be the only game in town?

It is worth taking some time to read about it. It is a thing and it does help the economy.
