I think Rick really struggles to read and absorb on occassion. As someone on here as frequently as he is, he really should have known Pross is in a choir. It's not news.

Now, is that a 'whoosh'? Or is it a double up?

It’s almost like the joke references the stereotype and how it is just that, a stereotype, but then in this specific instance the stereotype aligns, so that is funny.

If it was a just a Welsh stereotype comment it wouldn’t be a joke would it? It’s be “well that makes sense”

    Honestly, you lot.

So a joke about a stereotype that isn't just a stereotype is okay?
    This reopens so many possibilities.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Is being Welsh an ethnicity now?

I must try harder to be offended. I'm English, so people must be offending me all the time without me noticing.

Generally, if posting a joke, you'd add an (appropriate) emoji.
You didn't, so it is perfectly reasonable to not see it as a joke.

OTOH, I find it annoying when people think that putting a wink after an ill-judged comment gives them a pass... like when drivers think that hazard warning lights cancel out double yellow lines.

Is it more, or less, annoying than people who need to be told what to think by the medium of emoji? 🤔🐦🦡😉😙😌💩

It wasn't a joke, it's just Rick back pedaling as usual.
Best to leave it to avoid any protracted squabbling.

I knew it too... somehow... maybe, because I knew he was Welsh.

I'm sure I mentioned it a few times - probably whilst bragging at singing in front of 74,500 people at a Wales v Scotland 6 Nations match or for George North and Becky James's wedding (which Blazing Saddles was 'fortunate' to experience!).

I'm happy to be walking cliche - sing in a choir, love rugby (only watching these days), have watched the Stereophonics, Tom Jones and Katherine Jenkins in concert. Never worked down the pit or had relations with a sheep though. Certainly didn't take offence.

I get annoyed at the sheep thing. Where I grew up in the north, there were more cows than sheep. And they’re not as much fun.

    Apparently

    Ahem.
  • Can recommend avoiding KLM who are super officious and like to rub Brexit in ya face if you have a Brit passport.

In defence of KLM, they paid our voucher refund for £4k in under 48 hours, which feels pretty good having read about what some other airlines have been doing.
