Praise the lord0 -
Blossoms blowing across the road showing crosswinds, got my hopes up and then they turn back into the wind again0
-
The rain comse down and 6 or 7 unidentifiable riders have got a gap, the big teams are all throwing riders into moves now as the racing gets interesting0
-
Oil spill on the road, race now been brought to a halt0
-
Not an oil spill apparently but security concerns, race still neutralised heading into the first climb of the day. Who'd organise a bike race0
-
After an advertising break we're still neutralised so that's one categorised climb wiped off the board. No one with any idea what's going on, still speculation about oil spills from a truck but speculation is exactly what it is0
-
A local is kicking off cos he wants to get to butchers for a steak and ale pie."Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0

Can't believe Marianne Vos is only 31. She's miles ahead of any other active rider, mens or womens, with 184 victories. Greipel and Cav are next with 150 and 140 odd respectively. I know it's not scientific to compare with those two but that shows just how dominant she is, and not looking like dropping off either unlike the other two0
-
Oooh we're racing again. Sun's out, attacks kick off. Good stuff0
-
Lizzie Banks goes with an Ale Cipollini rider, FDJ and Drops riders get across just about. THis looks like the move0
-
I noticed they passed hackness hairpins when it was neutralised. I thought I must have got the route wrong, but it was definitely in the planned route. They're now back on track heading for the decent at Harwood dale"Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0

Stayed around there a few years ago in a little cottage somewhere around Harwood Dale, did think that hairpin road would be lovely to ride up/down! This really is a stunning part of the world.0 -
Lizzie Banks and van't Gelooft from Ale Cipollini now clear of the bunch it looks like, although their cause was helped by a Park Hotels rider decking it on a greasy corner right on the front of the bunch. Banks shells her companion within a KM of the intermediate sprint0
-
Bunch has properly sat up so Banks is just driving it along on her own. Ned doesn't think that is the best idea but she's going to clean up points, get on TV for a long while and make a day of it. If that were me I would crack on, which is exactly what she's doing. Vos clipped off to pick up a point in the sprint and has continued to ride with Wiebes, yesterdays winner.
Riders now on a grind of a climb, with a crosswind as well. HARD0 -
Someone on twitter suggesting that the course was sabotaged with cooking oil0
-

Some real sad folks about if that's true.
Vos and Wiebes brought back by the bunch, Banks sort of dangling about 20 seconds off the front0 -
Right well this is my shift over for the weekend, heading over to Manc to pick my Mrs up and bring her home, will be out on the roadside tomorrow for the first time a tthe TdY which is very exciting.
Enjoy your weekends and hope the racing picks up a touch0 -
I know you have to wear the jersey.... but Lizzie Banks could have at least got one that fits. She is killing herself into a block headwind in a jersey that resembles a parachute0

Watching the race sat on the settee. I live 10 miles or so from co de lythe bank !
Was going to ride over and watch the mens race later on , but that weather looks pretty mean , what do you think ?0 -

It will be a tailwind all the way once they turn and start heading back south shortly.0

At least Cav is getting to be in the race at the end again but seemed to have nothing in the way of speed. Hopefully it will come with fitness though.
Was it Bagot? Or Boeckmans? I caught it on medium format and have another shot showing him as rider #83. Number says Boeckmans; face says Bagot. *shrug*

They are going to finish so spread out in one's and twos at this rate"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. This is good racing, looks to be in the balance on the last classified climb0
-
Vos, Garcia Canellas and Paladin 12" ahead of a chase group of Barnes (H), Majerus and Spratt with 28km to go. Interesting. Then Vos attacks, but brought back with 26km to go.0
-
He keeps saying on commentary that they are sprinting into a headwind and yet the flags are clearly showing a crosswind.0

They all parked up on the cobbles there. You can see the difference in power Vs the men with the wind. Looked pretty hellish out there . But they raced it well. More tough races for the women and the dual race format women then men works."If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. The women's race should include tomorrows stage. Maybe next year."If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way.
