Good luck the rest of cycling.

That's an absurd line up. In the best way. Fair play to them, these young lads are showing they've got something about them. Good race that, Nibali's form seems to bode well for the giro as you know he's going to turn up to race

You need to come good in the third to win the giro

I didn't say he was going to win - seeing him looking like he wants to take races on is good for the race in general though no? The race needs people who want to turn up and take risks
  • Good race for Androni, two stage wins and two high up the GC.

Those 5 are already heading for this Giro...

Somewhere along the line, they'll need to sign Pogačar.

Real life is intruding on my cycling viewing so it's a somewhat belated fist pump for my man Sivakov.

You can set your calendar by this race. Formally the Henniger Turm, now the Frankfurt loop thingy, but always raced on May 1st.

Just like Yorkshire, live from gun to tape, starting at 11pm, here:

Also there are 90 minutes highlights on Eurosport, after Romandie, at 4-30pm.

This stage is starting to make today's Giro stage look like a crit. 29.9kph average over 4 hours in.

Les 4 Jours de Dunkerque starts tomorrow, meaning Eurosport will be covering 3 stage races each day this week.

Pogačar. Another impressive performance from the 20 year old. Is he the most likely rival to Bernal as the 'next big thing' in GTs?

Anyone who viewed Rasmussen's time trialling as one of the all time great cycling moments ought to check out Cavagna's descending today in the Tour of Cali as another minor classic in the same genre. I don't know if the road surface had freaked him out or if he thought an apex was something cryptozoological, but it certainly didn't look comfortable - especially when he ran u the dirt wall berm at the side like a filthy mountain biker...

Looking good for the stage win though, bafflingly.

Scary finale at TOC. TJV crashing and looked half conscious on bike.

Some sketchy roads in the finale. Some of them were as little as 10 metres wide. That's just too narrow for US riders.
