Of course I would never suggest that's the only factor because it isn't. But there seems to be a correlation and sometimes its' application that makes the difference.rick_chasey said:
I get it that you're a boy done good from Redcar or whatever it is, but I'd suggest that not every successful person is that because they're wonderful or that they've worked hard and not everyone who is hard up is awful or lazy.Stevo_666 said:
Ooh you're so harsh Rick. Sounds like you don't identify with the working hard class. Try it sometime rather than moaning about stuff on here: take it from me, it could do wonders for your future prosperityrick_chasey said:

I think the days of thinking that physical labour is the only real form of working hard are behind us now.Jezyboy said:

I was taking the piss as I have yet to meet a slacker that is honest and transparent about their work ethic to anything other than their close mates. It is something to do with their being consequences for this honesty.elbowloh said:

It counts more as you are exactly the kind of person that says one thing whilst knowing another to be true and therefore part of the political elite.elbowloh said:What about "hard working families"? I thought that was all politicians care about (if you listened to their soundbites).
If i'm bit of a slacker, does my vote count less?

Surely it's one Britain, four nations?
If that's what they're teaching the kids, no wonder our kids are thickos.1 -
One Britain, three nations. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom.elbowloh said:Surely it's one Britain, four nations?

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK), since 1922, comprises four constituent countries: England, Scotland, and Wales (which collectively make up Great Britain), as well as Northern Ireland (variously described as a country, province or region).0 -

Also, the ones that finish earlier start earlier, so the hours of teaching are the same. The afternoon is then free for clubs, etc.rick_chasey said:

Maybe they should start by looking a bit closer to home and at how much MPs attend parliament, both in terms of days and hours (i know there can be some late evenings) and then also look at the Lord's. Then also look at how long MPs are spending in their constituency surgeries?0

The less time Donaldson spends in work the better as far as I'm concerned. Every minute he is working is a risk of things being made worse.elbowloh said:Maybe they should start by looking a bit closer to home and at how much MPs attend parliament, both in terms of days and hours (i know there can be some late evenings) and then also look at the Lord's.
