This must be quite annoying for some people. Maybe a sign that we are becoming more European despite leaving the EU? :)

I just assumed someone is trying to get Hancock the boot and to get a health secretary installed who will support no restrictions next month regardless.

I think what he actually said was that she would have had to go through a rigorous process, because that's the process, not not that he had knowledge that she definitely did.

I don't know? It's a different type of person who seem to elevate to these kind of jobs.

I know this is an MoD issue not conservatives, but we don't have an MoD thread and it's government docs.

Why do people print stuff like this off? Mistakes like this are why the rest of us have to do interminable mandatory "training" every quarter.

Is it a bit weird that the papers concerned were about the very ship that had the contretemps with the Russian military this week and details of that very operation?

    Boris <-----> Facts
    He just doesn't care.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

"I saw the story on Friday we had a new secretary of state for health in on Saturday."

Not actually saying that he sacked him, but it's very David Brent.

This being on record is kind of awkward though.

"However on Friday, No 10 said the PM had accepted an apology from Mr Hancock and considered the case "closed"."

Very much of a piece with the Justice Secretary boasting that ministerial standards and bunging your mates a few fat contracts are of no consequence. Strong early 90s deja vu.

Still find the most worrying thing being that there was CCTV in a Minister's office apparenty without their knowledge and that this has somehow been leaked. It feels like quite a major security issue not to mention a data protection breach. I assume it has come from Cummings or one of his people as it seems odd it suddenly came out around the time Cummings was publically laying into Hancock.

I thought the footage was from a corridor.

It is worrying as you say however, that its been leaked. It's a major security issue.

This is definitely not the last of it.

I don't think it is a security issue as I think it was deliberately released by those in charge. Less worrying for the public, but a bit obvious.
