Made lamb koftas, (mince, cumin, chilli, coriander, cinnamon, garlic, onion) in pitta with rocket, diced tomato and a punchy garlic sauce. Very tasty too. Can still taste the garlic.

I went through a phase of doing exactly this during the summer. My garlic sauce/tzatziki was thick greek yoghurt, big handful of mint, grated cucumber (give it a good squeeze in a teatowel to get excess liquid out), 2 minced garlic cloves (big ones), grind of pepper, salt to taste). I'd get a garlic sweat on, and could taste it for at least 24 hours. I'd also bung a dollop of bought hummus in the pitta.

    Curly kale?
I like the twirl of mash. Parsley as a garnish tends to stick in my throat.

    Roast turkey thighs today.

Nobody notices when I use the press 😔

Quarter pack of butter, creme fraiche/sour cream, little milk, plenty of salt.

    That's some luxe mash.

They'd notice if you didn't use the press. Give 'em lumpy mash. That'll learn them, while you have the good stuff.

Long way from the dry lumpy mash from my youth. Dad didn’t like prouchie* mash as he called it, so my parents version was a couple of quick presses with the masher, a smidge of butter and a dash of milk.

*prouchie, possibly made up, possibly Gaelic, which I took to mean soft and sloppy.

Lasagne. No ordinary Lasagne. The sauce bubbled away for 3.5 hours slowly a la Marcello Hazan's recipe, side salad consisting of Baby leaf, watercress and thinly sliced red onion, some baguette (no spread) and washed down a bottle of Barbera d'alba 2018 from Svinando. Pity it's all gone - will break into the Finlandia and get fiissed as a part 'cos i've received notice from the tenants from hell that they are moving out on the 16th Jan. My Lego modules might be for sale with building instructions and kits available to purchase in the new year.
    Happy days.

Not a pasta fan but I appreciate the effort. I’ll buy you a plate for your bread at Christmas 🎄

Not sure you should be posting pics of Pinno on a public forum without his permission tbh. 😕

Both home made? Soup and bread is great. As is rice pud. Especially with a blob of raspberry jam.
