Have you ever tried homemade kedgeree? There is a good Simon Hopkinson recipe for it.
Always found venison underwhelming. The haunch, slow braised seems to work best, loin and steak always a bit tasteless.1 -

about sums it up. one child doesn't do cheese or creamy sauce, the other doesn't like potatoes, is fussy about certain types of meat and makes a point of leaving something on the plate. I try not to take the failures to heart though and will hold my hands up to odd disaster. Missus is generally appreciative and will eat most recipes I try, even if they're not very nice.pinno said:

Shorty is the fussy one*. Tricky's easy. Mrs P is quite willing to try anything just make sure it ain't too dry.
Beans the cat doesn't like fish or poultry or anything in jelly. Little f*cker.

Carrot and coriander
Chicken and rice
Broccoli and stilton
Cream of mushroom
Chunky vegetable
Cream of Celeriac
Sweet potato (so Mrs P reminded me)

All home made. Nope "I like tomato soup".

Glad I'm not fussy. Mrs. 666 makes some good 'uns but she also has a few off days. It keeps her occupied, mind which is useful when you're unemployed
