Oooooh. Nice. when the MFs were at college in America we all used to pile down to the local bar for spicy chicken wings, blue cheese dipping sauce and pitchers of Bud or similar fizzy lager drink. Utterly brilliant fun.hopkinb said:Chicken wings with a turmeric and salt rub. Home made coleslaw. Lickle bit of rum.

Fagots and mash with a mustard gravy, timed to perfections by the current wife for the end of my bike ride0

Then it seems prudent to keep her 'current'.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

Local butcher, actually could have been the mash - who knows I was starving and consumed it with more haste than tasteseanoconn said:

They can be a little touchy on mumsnet. I think quite a few of us are still banned after the great Bottom Bracket mumsnet invasion. We had to carry MF back on a stretcher 😂 ahhh the BB golden age 😔Stevo_666 said:

Guinness, home made Curry (that's been in the freezer for 4 weeks) and home made Naan bread. There is nothing quite like the smell of the Naan bread (keeping warm in the oven) from the Black Onion seeds and Yoghurt.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

Just broken a 24hr fast with some homemade daal and greens.
Atthis rate I'll be the lightest person on the forum0 -
F@cking hell, my knob weighs more than that.

I'm going to give it a bash as I am assembling the ingredients for a Lamb Biryani.
Though, Curry leaves I doubt I will be able to source locally.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
You should have said sooner.pinno said:I'm going to give it a bash as I am assembling the ingredients for a Lamb Biryani.

I always keep a bag of curry leaves in the freezer after a visit to the local Asian supermarket for making authentic curries. They keep for ages alongside the small green, hot as f@ck chillis I buy in abundance.0 -
I'm 90 miles from the nearest Asian market.
There's a really good one in Gloucester that I used to frequent.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
There you go then.
Next time you "do" make it to the Asian supermarket stock up with curry leaves.
They freeze great.0 -

It was easy, you know. Whole milk in a casserole dish, bring to the boil and turn off the heat as soon as it does so.
Then add lemon juice and stir so that the milk curdles. Let it sit for 5/10mins so it can cool. Strain/rinse the curds through a muslin cloth and then squeeze out any remaining liquid by pinching up the muslin into a ball with the curds inside. Then give everything another press on a chopping board to get any remnants of liquid out.
Then transfer to a plate and put some weight on top (a few more plates) and put everything in the fridge for an hour or two.
Enjoy!Ben
