I'm very proud of my insulation tape work there, it's still in place. There's a limit to the flexibility of the medium.

I feel a little off-topic at this stage.

You're running with the Orangina colours. I admire your devotion to the drink.

Looks strange with the saddle so far forwards. Have you tried lowering and moving it back a bit?

Bikes all look odd with the camera held below the height of the hoods, makes the bars look enormous.

God I love this forum at times like this. Might be recovering from being knocked off last week but this thread has cheered me up no end. Can't beat a cockwomble for entertainment.

Thank you, the drinks are on me :lol:

That pic was from before it got ridden on build day, so it might well have moved, I've found a little more flexibility as the gut's been vanquished so I might even be ready to lower the bars, I never used to use the drops but can now. I'll have a look where the saddle is when I hop on it to ride home from work tonight.

Was going for a nod at gulf colours, but might claim orangina going forward.

Is that so. Such a pity that the roadie community appears to infested with people like you.

I would never, ever, join any roadie club. Too many stories of people being judged for doing it "wrong", and this thread only confirms that opinion.

What makes you so sure any club would have you.

Yes because, of course, the number one rule of any bike club is how members chose to hydrate............

It's a bit overkill for SE England isn't? Besides, something that may be ok when you're hundreds of miles from the nearest civilisation, but in this part of the world you have no idea what people might have dumped into any water source.

How can something be overkill and not suitable simultaneously?

It's a good option. A normal bottle, fill it at the start, fill it every time you find a water source that's clean/purchaseable.

    Disaster strikes, use the straw.

This must be a record for number of times someone's left the same thread in a huff then come back anyway.

Is there some sort of award we can give?

Someone earlier called this " a bit of ribbing". This isn't "ribbing", it's online harassment and abuse.

You know what, fark you. I'm gone.............

What I meant was, if you didn't react so angrily to being questioned nobody would have jumped on the bandwagon, which is what has happened...

What I mean is can that thing really filter out absolutely everything that might end up in a river in the heavily populated and industrially farmed SE? I wouldn't trust it.

As a matter of fact I got angry for being castigated for not doing things the way some people here think they should be done. No one likes being told what to do.

If it's heavily populated there will be a shop nearby.

Cycling is supposed to the "green" option, yet for some reason a lot of people here seem uber keen for me to unnecessarily add to the mountain of plastic waste. Why is that I wonder. Anyone would think that maybe you have shares in some shop somewhere. Or maybe you have shares in a bottled water company.

When was the last time you went into a public toilet? They're always disgusting. No way would I want to drink any water from any tap in there. Besides, councils are closing them left right and centre.

Do you take your lunch with you or buy something when you are at the "attraction"? You could refill while you are there.

It's not like we have a second class and premier water system.

And now the SE is heavily populated again you'll have loads of places to fill up with water.
