Just to satisfy my curiosity, please tell us what the "attractions" are...

Richborough Caste for a start, and Buckingham Old Gaol (yes I know that's in a town.....). That's what I have in mind atm.

For the record, something I haven't mentioned is that I've been thinking of combining two of tours in the book to form one long tour of aprox 80 miles.
maybe refill the bottles at both attractions.

True. It's a lost cause. There is no water available in SE England. Have you thought of playing golf instead?

He'd struggle to find the hole.

But on the other hand he'd never find the water.

Yeah, on a busy A road that is a motorway in all but name, and not on my route anyway, that's a lot of use isn't it?

Meh, wtf is the point of anyone coming here for advice when nobody listens to a word you say, and everyone here wants to force their views on you? Pointless.

    Oh? And how is that?

I came here for for advice. I laid out what I wanted to do and why I wanted to do it, and most of what I got back was a bunch of people trying to force to me to do what they want me to do. Why don't you learn to respect other people's choices?

I'm only on page 4 and I need to go for a drink. Can I come back later and read some more?
The Wife complained for months about the empty pot of bike oil on the hall stand; so I replaced it with a full one.

    Cant see the problem here?
Being self sufficient, ie not wanting to stop anywhere, ie not wanting to buy anything, ie being tight. But buying an unnecessary bag.

It would have been a lot less than that if people had actually stuck to answering the question, instead of trying to dictate to me how I live my life............

People who use frame bags for water are normally bike packing or doing events such as the transcontinental and are carrying luggage that makes normal bottle cages unusable. The frame bags have normally got other stuff in as well as water. The OP has totally misunderstood why people use framebags for water. There is a reason 99.99999999% of UK cyclists use 2 bottles in conventional bottle cages.

Are you thick? Two bottles IS NOT ENOUGH!!!!!!!

And people use frame bags to carry water because it is a good place to carry it. Why the fuck would I care about why other people might be doing it??? All that matters is what is going work for me.

The thing I have "misunderstood" is that this was a place to come for advice. It seems to be place where people come to be told what to do and be told they are "wrong" by a bunch of cretins.

Frame bags are not a good place water carry it unless the frame bag is fully loaded with other stuff to keep it rigid to stop the bladder bulging out as you have found. How can it be a good place to carry it if it is bulging out and rubbing on your legs. If you understood why and how a few other cyclists use frame bags for water you would understand the problems you are having with your framebag. As a veteran of several 1000km + Audaxes (all done with 2 x 700ml bottles) that had big stretches between towns and villages I wouldn't class myself as thick, I'd class myself as experienced. You should take on the advice being offered as most of it is good.

You've been told time and time again what the solution everyone else uses is, what more do you want? I and others suggested some other solutions but the simplest would just be to refill bottles like everyone else who rides a bike in the UK.

People gave you advice from their own experience and you don't want to do it, the only reason the ribbing escalated was because you started shouting and swearing when people poked a bit of fun. Surely a person of your experience should know when to respond and when to let it go...?

Er not it's not. And you seem to have trouble understanding that TWO BOTTLES IS NOT ENOUGH!!!!!! Can you not understand English????

Fully loaded with other stuff? What? There's barely enough room for the bladder on its own............

And how is packing a bunch more stuff in there going to stop it bulging??? It's not it's going to make it bulge MORE! And then there is the risk of the bladder getting damaged.

I need a way to carry a ton of water with me for my day tours. Maybe frame bags are not for me, and I'll just have to resort to using the small Camalbak rucksack I actually bought first for this purpose.

No, frame bags are probably not for you. but if you insist on using it, then there was advice for this ...
Put your seatpost down an inch and ride with your knees pointing outwards

Camelbak rucksacks also have their problems, these have been pointed out to you.

People can only comment from there own experience and as (almost) none of them use or find the need for a frame bag, they've told you their alternatives. No-one is forcing you to use these alternatives or even to stay here and take their advice.

The advice, in summary is...Most people use bottles, and have no trouble getting them refilled.

The older I get, the better I was.

It's not a good place to carry a lot of weight. Besides it's not easily accessible.

Unrelated topic. When I go to the sandwich shop, I like to carry my lunch back on my head, because that leaves my hands free. I find it often falls off though. What's the best way to carry food on my head?

No they didn't, they come on to tell me what to do and to castigate for not doing what they want me to do. I've said multiple times why I want to do it the way I want to do it, and no one is the slightest bit interested in respecting my decisions.

Why not? It carries most of your weight.

Anyway, it would only be for your emergency water supply to be used when your bottles ran out 5 minutes ago and you're dying of thirst in the desolate wastes of the Kent countryside.

I've used a bladder in rucksack enough times to know what they are like. People said they heat up, and I know for a fact tat they do not, and as far as I'm concerned that that is one of their main huge advanatages.

Yes they are! Apparently I'm some kind of idiot for not doing things exactly the say people here want to me to do them.
