Yes just saw that on Cycling Weekly, which I suspect is definite as Lizzies Boels deal originally ran out this year anyway, before the pregnancy. But couple of interviews id read lately seemed to hint she was currently not being supported by Boels at all, plus they seemed to announce all their contract extension about a month ago with no mention of hers. Just hope they use the neat egg blue kit the mtb/cyclocrossers get :)

Remco Evenepoel, a supposedly 18 year old Belgian supertalent, who was supposed to be going to Axeon is going to Quick Step instead. Sky also made him an offer which he called 'amazing'

Apparently one of the most dominant riders ever at junior level - however also new to cycling so not got much in the way of bunch riding or race skills. He just attacks from the gun and goes for solo breaks - practically the only races he's lost are when his team have told him to sit in and wait for the sprint so he gains race experience.

Bianchi seem to have really pulled their fingers out with the current range.

Cav's finished m8. Not getting a new contract anywhere.

I don't accept that. If Cav's finished, it's because that's what he wants.

It's interesting how there are a fair few sprinters on the market or disgruntled with where they are. Of the top of my head: Cav, Griepel, Kittlel, Kristoff, Bouhanni... Opportunities if you're a team who want to pick one up at a discount or on a Gilbert (paid for the wins) deal...

Fantastic! I love Dowsett; he has a super interesting YT channel if you haven't seen it. It provides a very raw, behind the scenes depiction of live as a Pro Cyclist.

Yes, agreed, I follow him on IG etc. :)

SDB confirmed last night that Thomas will be staying at Sky. No surprise there, nor detail of the time extension.

I said this last time out but it seems even more the case now but I’m surprised Dowsett keeps getting a WT level contract.

Maybe a sign that teams are no longer prepared to invest in a sprinter or at least not for all the support that goes with them. Not many of them guarantee the quantity of wins the likes of Cav, Greipel or Kittel did a few years ago

    :-(

Hope the riders get picked up soon. Some of the new teams like Sunweb and Michelton Scott will help build the future.

    We'll miss the Wiggles !

Rochelle Gilmour suggests she's open to offers on a romantic front if anyone is keen to hook up with a driven professional.

ELB to move to Trek. She's trodden water a bit this year when she should have been progressing to the very highest levels and clearly the Giro Rosa wasn't as successful as she might have hoped. She's over in Sestrieres training for the end of season at the moment.
