The OP once posted asking for advice about why he had been cold on a particular ride.
He later confessed that he had got dressed in the dark and hadn't realised that he had worn a different garment to that which he thought he'd worn, though somehow he managed to put the post on here before he came to that realisation.

And how about this 15-year girl who wants a Garmin 1000 and a power meter, genuine or troll?

Looking at the stuff the kids are riding around here then genuine. In fact, sadly lacking on kit unfortunately.
It's the way it is now auto - all the kids want the latest stuff and the parents are buying it.
It's no longe steel frames and down tube shifters - half the kids round here are riding Di2 for some unknown reason with all those computer things you lot like stuck all over them.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

LFGSS is a completely different kind of forum with completely different types of people in it - the name gives it away.
If you feel that you are more respected/listened to/at ease/able to converse on your level with them then that's cool, but don't take it out on people who come on here and treat it as they do, which is pretty relaxed, some good advice with areas for those that really dig what they dig - Po Face is one area that people who aren't into Po Facing tend to stay out of. I assumed troll. Didnt understand what relevance being a 15 year old girl added to the question, and why every question asked started with 'I am a 15 year old girl....'
Maybe Im just suspicious0 -

+1.
If I was a 15 years old girl, the last thing I would do is advertise it on a public forum.
Having been a moderator, I have seen what goes on... folks with multiple IDs, who seem to take great pleasure in winding up the BR community with risible threads. We seem to be a magnet for those time wasters and I don't understand what is so special about BR forum... my guess is that people are really gullable, whereas elsewhere a troll gets spotted within secondsleft the forum March 20230 -

Why?
Perhaps my mind works differently to yours but I don't care if someone heads up their post "I'm a 40 year old male accountant" or "I'm Colonel Gaddaffi"
Perhaps the background of the poster would help to direct answers by those wth The Knowledge.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

It isnt relevant to a cycle computer purchase, and there are some wierdos on the internet.
Maybe I am overly suspicious but like darkhairedlord when I see 'i am a 15 year old girl' my mind reads 'I am quite clearly not a 15 year old girl'.0 -

Perhaps the OP is one of those 'hunters' you hear about and setting up as 15yo girl as a lure ?
I've thought too much now. I'd assumed it was a 15yo girl.0 -

Hi all,
long time lurker, first time poster, so go easy on me... LOL
I'm a 26 stone ex Rugby player and cycle 30 miles at weekend in Surrey, mainly smashing PR on Strava local segments. Currently riding a Boardman, but I've got my eyes on a Cervelo R5 shod with Lightweight Deutschland Uberalles wheels, which I can get for a good price. What do you think guys?left the forum March 20230 -

Sounds cool - go for it. You've earned the money to buy it so go for it and enjoy it.

Best of luck with it all - anytime you need any help just p[op back on here and someone will assist.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Welcome to the forum, nice bike but I can see you have made a noob error there. You've only gone and fitted Gatorskins which basically renders the rest of you bike choices pointless and useless.0 -
