    :D

I'm 85kg at 185 cm. 4 years ago pre bike commuting I was 105kg. If I were to stop drinking, I'm sure I could be high 70's quite quickly. But I'd need new clothes, so it's cheaper to drink until my liver packs up.

Don't stop drinking, that would be foolish.

I'll have to some day. I don't have the healthiest relationship with booze. I'm rarely w@nkered, and hangovers are met with equanimity, but there's not many alcohol free days in a year. It all adds up to a sore liver.

Wouild be more if I didn't need to work.

Hopkin , I worry about you. Stop drinking during the week.

Anyway. Tomorrow's stage looks like a ride through Dullsville.

Well this has really careered off topic.

With due consideration, I do understand but maybe you need to give the liver and your body a break and you have dependencies relying on you. [Say "Yes Dad" and nod your head.]
I'm the opposite, I rarely drink. I used to and there was a time In could drink 6 or 7 pints and still pedal home via the Kebab shop.

Only 3 MTF's and we've already had one and you say tomorrows stage is 'Dullsville' !?

One stage at a time son, one stage at a time.

(I don't like flat stages, unless a plucky breakaway wins the day)

Yes dad. Nods. Like I says. I needs to stop. I'm not a wreck in any way, no blackouts, no illness, no fighting, no drink driving, no missed responsibilities. I'm just a topper upper. It ain't healthy. I actually have one of my regular months off starting tomorrow. I'll probably post less sh!te here.

Cheers lads, soz for the off topic.

Nah, a breakaway with a plucky rider from Wanty surging ahead in the final KM and taking it by 2 Metres from Marcel, who then cries. My dream stage.

Hmmm. My dream stage has me winning the TDF on the streets of Paris*.

*Just shows the extent of my very vivid imagination.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Could be a long solo breakaway to overtake the leader.
Attack while they are on the bubbly. Many options.

I thought you'd got over your hissy fit about not getting an invite to the last one? :)

IIRC, I did get an invite but there was an emergency regarding the pole dancers in my yacht in Monaco that I had to attend to.
In fact, it was there that Blakey signed his two year deal at Wanty Gobert.

What, you can't attack while they're on the bubbly! Poor show Blakeney, you''re not Italian are you?

best to attack with a glass of bubbly in one hand, and team car with more on ice, and a supply of various crusty baguettes for energy

i'd recommend billecart-salmon extra brut, don't want something that'll cloy after the second bottle
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

I'm sure that Bernard Hinault said something about the race not being over until the finishing line.
    He was quite correct.
