Has Phil Gil gone backwards or forwards?

    Not now!
Km 142 - Philippe Gilbert (BMC) joined the leading group, which lost Geoffrey Soupe (Cofidis). The six lead the peloton by 50 seconds.

France 3 should be about to start which means the rest can follow with pictures.
Too bad it's all come back together and settled down.

looks pretty bleak and seriously hard racing. 5 in front group seem to be working - peleton being plled along by 4 rotating (sky, fdj, lampre, trek). gap is constant at a few seconds over a minute

edit - obs not lampre but merida whatevertheyarenow - really tacky gold helmets

Of course, there is nothing much to see, now that we are live.
Just the peloton chasing the breakaway for the sprint and a load of ad breaks.

I'm assuming, dish_dash, that you needed Google to know that. Otherwise, I would be impressed.

I have ad free Sporza, not that much has happened, since we've gone live.
Gilbert has always been good in these conditions.

stage winner : moto camera. ridiculous

Gilbert solo puts 25 seconds on full chasing peletonin 5 mins. this is ridiculous.

last 5km doesn't seem to have a single sharp corner which won't help a lone leader - and cos it is a little lap they have all seen the roads today already. the peleton will fly along

That's partly because the time gaps are taken from transponders on the camera bikes.

    Where's Phil Gil anyone?

    In the Bert group

    Cheers.

I have a rather narrow lens through which I watch a lot of this; namely, how are the classics guys doing, and who of the Poggio potential protagonists (PPP) are doing well.
