I'm starting to dislike seeing Alaphilippe come second! Deserves a big win and it's only a matter of time.

More importantly, more than one French rider doing well ala pedal.

ASOS = As Seen on Screen

I can only assume those jackets are to make commuters everywhere feel a connection to the team

    :lol::lol::lol:

Chasey should add one of those jackets to his pro-kit commuting wardrobe...

    STURMPRINZ EVO - a snip at £400
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Apparently today's stage is already in bits with six different echelons.

Are the cycling gods being kind on us, to make up for such a horrendous 2016 Tour?

I do have it on authority from a friend who's hobby is collecting bike kit and occasionally using it to ride (on one of his SEVEN road bikes, naturalment), that it's the sh!t in terms of comfort.

I can tell from that photo that it is "roomy"

    Who's got the klaxon?

    12:52:23 CET
There has been a person furiously totting up the numbers and at the last count there are just 50 riders in the front group. Arnaud Demare has made the cut, Degekolb, Alaphilippe and Hardy have too. No news on the GC contenders. There is 35 seconds between the leading group and the chasers.

Yeah. TBH, even at their level i'd sacrifice a bit of flappy fabric for more comfort.

In the context of record times up hills etc, flappy fabrics aren't all that important, right?

To be fair to CyclingNews, their 'reporting' restricted to what they can copy and paste from the race website/twitter

Richie Porte (BMC), Alberto Contador (Trek-Segafredo) and Sergio Henao (Sky) are among the riders currently losing touch with the first part of the peloton, including only 22 riders now.

35 seconds between leaders and first chasing group

The 22 riders in the lead are Degenkolb, Kristoff, Gallopin, Greipel, Alaphilippe, Kittel, Gorka Izaguirre, Roosen Wynants, Demare, Molard, Sarreau, Lursenko, Laporte, Lemoine, Barguil, Oomen, Swift, Bennett, Smukulis.

Richie Porte (my PTP pick) is drifting off the back of the second chase group
