Apparently a tailwind expected for most of the day.

Pierre Latour (AG2R La Mondiale), Ben King (Dimension Data), and Romain Combaud (Delko-Marseille) in the break.

Had a lovely lunch and expensive wine buying day in Mercurey a couple of years ago...

    Hmm....lunch and good wine....nomnomnom

I checked before, and there's only 21 guys within 90 seconds of the lead. Of which 10 are what you would call favourites, some of them outsiders at best (Alaphilippe and Gallopin included)

    And it's only day 2!

There was only 26 guys within 90 seconds of the lead after stage 1.

A slower day for sure. Sporza on with 57kms live and the final climb to come.

Some big scalps there. Nicely done.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

Sure bit riding from group 2 to 1, then getting into the break, then attacking in a day of crosswinds.

That's a serious bit of riding.

He's a momentum rider too, form wise.

He looks like the rider he was 4-5 years ago. I love watching him on form. Should liven the Ardennes up.

I assume that for today's PTP a lot of people have just seen "time trial = Tony Martin" without looking at the final climb?

The same Tony Martin who's Paris-Nice win was based on winning on a similar uphill time trial?
