    Go Simon! Takes the win.

    Henao 15 seconds behind

    Porte third, then Alaphilippe

Martin led Alaphilippe out and then pulled over and urged him over the line...

So Yates lost about 30s on that climb - he got that attack just right.

Think he thought there were some bonus seconds left?

Anyway Martin did a good job there.

Yep. Good thinking on the line too. Super job by Martin. Alaphilippe was pedalling squares when Henao went...

Who's the commentator who has just done the highlights prior to the interviews? Seems okay (highlights compared to live obviously a different kettle of fish)

Surely he'll be looking after Alaphilippe.

Yep. QS clearly going for Alaphilippe. If Martin was their GC guy then he'd have pushed on and taken a couple of seconds but he very deliberately delivered Alaphilippe to the line to get any bonus points (unfortunately all gone).

How shit are Cannondale-Drapac these days? Lots of press talk overnight that their race started today, yet no sign of them all day with Michael Woods coming in as their best finisher nearly 10 minutes down. Vaughters needs to spend less time flying and more time getting his team to perform.

Sep will animate for the early classics. But yep, the rest of them... sure they are lovely but a bit lightweight.

Formolo and Craddock abandoned today after Formolo crashed yesterday. Joe Dombrowski and Pierre Rolland lost nearly 40 minutes in the crosswinds across the opening two stages.

Bala junior will lose 5 mins tomorrow

imo Henao is the main favorite right now, with a bunch close together as 2nd rate chances

What a shame for the British bike hating brigade.
All this negative press the BC management is getting appears to be having the opposite effect on the riders.
Two gutsy, attacking wins in two days.

Cracks appear in Alaphilippe's armour. He must be worried about tomorrow's tallest peak in P-N history.
Whether or not Henao will look as good as today is another matter.
Little Richie looks up for it. Contador looks like he could go either way.

When I picked Martin in PTP this morning I hadn't realised he had reduced himself to a lead out man / domestique!
  • Strong from Henao
