Looking forward to todays stage. Not sure who to root for though.0

Going to try and avoid the spoilers... Apparently there's some sort of event happening where some big men on steroids throw an egg shaped ball to each other and then cuddle aggressively. This requires pub-based beer drinking.0

This is a bit like my favourite ride in France in reverse - starting in the mountains and riding down to the coast - however I think I would turn it into a monster 300k day and do the glide back to la mer
I think I'll have my butties in Utelle with the sun on my face

No-one really wanted to chase Yates did they?
None of the GC boys had more than solitary support, so they left Sky and Mike Snow to it.
Amazed how similar today's two finishing climbs are: 400 metres difference in length and a couple of tenths of a percent in gradient.
Rugby playing a blinder, by forcing P-N to finish well over an hour after T-A"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
I think Porte and especially Contador need to do something today to launch their 2017 campaigns, though I've backed Henao for the win.0

Dombrowski also out. Not many cannondale riders left...0

Lots of press talk overnight that their race started today, yet no sign of them all day with Michael Woods coming in as their best finisher nearly 10 minutes down. Vaughters needs to spend less time flying and more time getting his team to perform.0

I couldn't work out if that was the case or they were trying quite hard and didn't have it in them.0 -

I kinda figured because it was only Nieve chasing, who'd done a lot of work long before the chase, that no-one was that fussed.
They'd have taken over otherwise. I mean if you look at how quickly they closed the gap on Yates in the final climb, there was plenty in the tank by the time they got to the bottom of the climb.0 -
There was a bit of marking going on, Yates was far enough back that he wasn't going to take the jersey so nobody was too keen to chase.
He did lose a lot of his advantage on the climb, he did well to get it just right.0 -
Leader Calmejane about 2km and about 3 mins away from the start of the final climb - has 40 seconds on peleton0
-
Ulisi and Pacher have 30 seconds over a team sky lead peleton. 13.2km to go0

Allaphillippe in trouble - trek pushing group of about 160
-
group of seven at the front - henao, izaguire ion, pantano, contador, martin, fuglsang ad porte
