Boogie always was a slippy character.

Did Ras do the funky chicken?...

Didn't Dag-Otto Lauritzen win the Norwegian Strictly?

I'm actually surprised to see Wiggins do The Jump, when all's said and done. He's a bit bigger than it I'd have thought, and he probably should have held out for Strictly. Unless he can't wait that long for some reason

Wouldn't he reach more of the public if he did Masterchef?

It'd be great if he did Strictly - you can imagine the banter he'd get from Cav every week.

Paul Weller would likely block his number though.

I'm finding my opinions on that program veering towards the more extreme end of the spectrum, the longer it runs.

I'm currently considering if it's just an abomination of a TV program, or one of the four horses of the apocalypse.

I'd have thought Strictly would be a better bet too. Wiggo is the ideal person for these shows, a real personality and a genuine sports star, I imagine him being box office if he did the I'm a Celebrity.

Maybe he could be a team Captain on Tour de Celeb, get Cav to captain the other team, get one of the pair to be a bit Gordon Ramsey in their approach to coaching I'd definitely watch that.

    Ah, Robbie Fowler.

His participation is a strange one too. He's already loaded from his football career and property investments, and was never one for the limelight post-football.

A couple of months, all expenses paid, in Kitzbuhl is a decent way to spend your winter. And as ideal evenings go, I reckon a free bar chatting with Robbie Fowler and Jason Robinson would be high on his wish list.

So what other cyclists would you have on reality TV shows?

Strictly Come Dancing - Cavendish because he used to dance
    g

He wouldn't be allowed on. Prior ballroom dancing experience isn't allowed.

And RR2 - He'd be scoring so highly he'd be immune from the public for the first half, and by then they'd have warmed to him. He's popular with middle aged women and that's basically THE voting audience for strictly.

They seem to be pretty flexible when it comes to letting ringers on.

    The Jump! Surprised.

I thought he had form for bottling on slippery descents.
I watched Tour de Celeb on Channel 5 recently and Amy Williams was bottling dry descents.

Have that recorded on 'telly box thing. Will have to take a look - you'd expect her to be fearless.

Gareth Thomas will also be on The Jump this year. He was on Dancing on Ice a few years ago. A surprisingly graceful skater, but it was the flying on wire that did him in. Not sure what that has to do with ice skating though. It will be interesting to see BW having a go at something off the bike. It is always interesting to see the 'fish out of water' scenario.

Massive investment in properties with big rental income made his fortune. Currently works as Liverpool FC ambassador travelling the world and also coaches/mentors at academy after doing his coaching badges.

The sniffing the line thing was a go back at the Everton fans who (as they've done over the years with many players from across the park) made up various songs/allegations about him. Not the wisest thing to do.

May have been the best natural finisher I've ever seen. Favourite week was when he received a FIFA award for fair play for telling ref not to give penalty against Arsenal and then fined by UEFA for displaying political slogan on his t-shirt in supporting the striking dockers:

He still tried to score the penalty though. (As he should - the referee's decision is final, he did his best)

Not really - must have been the worst penalty he ever took. Seaman saved but Liverpool scored from the rebound.

I always had a soft spot for him, even though he *always* scored against us (Arsenal).

I suppose for some sports The Jump is no more dangerous than the day job and the rewards in the short term at least are probably greater. At least the TKD people say they understand and respect her decision even if they make it clear they'd rather she didn't.

Unfortunately nothing on Wiggins but a few bits of info on the other sport stars taking part - wonder what Wiggo's leg steering range is like:
