What struck me is that if there was a line up of people likely to volunteer to go I imagine he would be everyone's last pick. Incredibly brave yet seemingly normal guy.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Apparently using old Russian anti-tank mines with 3D-printed fins, and dropped from a drone. Quite a big bang.

Saw something similar where they dropped one of those on a Russian SUV type vehicle - looked like it went in through the sun roof and mashed the occupants. Unfortunately can't find the clip now.

The Russians are going to find out just how inventive a nation of 40 million with a large land area out west they don't control and a lot of mates can be. No one in the Russian army is going to be signing up for protecting the dombas as every single piece of kit they have is going to be a target.

oh Richard, here we go again.

just stop being melodramatic and all dinner party.

part of the reason - well the major reason - Russia wsnt Ukraine is because of its industry and natural resources.

Nuke it and suddenly its all worthless, you're an international parish, you're gonna get smashed by everyone and you've got this massive radio active cloud heading your way.

Even the Russins have said they aren't going to do this.

    Now stop being silly.

Yes, especially as the external wine is internalised during the evening, and people forget which bits are hot.

Fwiw I don’t think it means global Armageddon.

But it seems a non-trivial likelihood, especially if things don’t go Russia’s way.

Drop a nuke on a 100,000 person town and turn around and ask “that was your Hiroshima, do you want a Nagasaki”?

Was basically the logic of one of the main nuclear advisors to Biden said was not unlikely.

Yes I was reading the same reports as Rick. If Putin is facing defeat in the Donbas, possibly even losing Crimea if things went very badly for Russia, why are we so convinced he wouldn't gamble on using a nuclear strike ? I mean we've all been calling him a power crazy mad man, a man with nothing to lose, an egotist etc.

I would hope someone within the Russian govt/military would use any such order as a reason to stage a coup on the grounds Putin had become a serious threat to Russia.

I think it's crazy that people can be in these positions without regular checks to make sure they are of sound mind. MRI Brain scans should be carried out at least once a year amongst other tests. Make it the remit of WHO that any new *leader* has to do this.

I know this never going to happen, but it's the new generation who will suffer, big time too if it all goes nukeynoo.

And...Anybody who doesn't want to do this clearly aren't decent human beings who want to serve their Country and try and do what's best for the people who live there.

The list of countries with nukes is quite short. If you ignore those with checks and balances that would stop a mentally impaired leader from unilaterally launching then you have an even shorter list. Now how many of the leaders on that list would subject themselves to an WHO test and allow action upon the findings?

Bit harsh on Arthur bracketing him with the others on that list.

I think if we had lost the war Barnes Wallis may have been strung up for designing a bomb intended to cause mass civilian casualties
