A quick snap while out on the bike this evening.
Sunny and quiet roads, bliss!
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.5 -
Funny thing is that I used the 2x zoom feature so it's not even an extreme wide angle shot*. Currently enjoying a malt whisky as my drug of choice. 😉Pross said:
Looks like a British version of one of those endless roads through a desert in Arizona like in Forrest Gump.

Expect a few mountain shots over the next few days as I'm up in Snowdonia to run a trail marathon on Sunday. Just a couple of shots from the phone at a lunch stop in Beddgelert today

Got the lens back on the correct way round.

Yep, going to be hard going. It will involve a lot of walking, I entered 3 years ago when I running fairly well but have done no training at all (longest run this year was 10 miles back in February). Should hopefully get some nice photos on the way around though.masjer said:
That sounds like a toughie, especially in the heat. Good luck.Pross said:Expect a few mountain shots over the next few days as I'm up in Snowdonia to run a trail marathon on Sunday. Just a couple of shots from the phone at a lunch stop in Beddgelert today

Hard to get any decent photos under the canopy today anywhere... wrong sort of leaves to let even dappled light through, let along luminous greens above.1 -

I enjoy trying, but It’s not easy even at the best of times. This was another from today. Needed a tripod as it was pretty dark.2 -
The sunset photo as usual does not do it justice, could not get the full redness in the sky, there was such a bright iridescent red that topped this off8 -
^Looking good! Great clouds and reflections in the sand.1

Scorchio today, and what white/light buildings are there for, when you've got a blue sky.

A bit of everything today, some great clouds and some thick sea fog.

Not going to win any awards as it was taken on my phone using auto settings about 7 miles into my race (it was brutal, I literally didn't see a cloud in the sky for the first 4 hours / 16 miles and there was no shade on the vast majority of the course. Loads of DNFs and a few collapsed on the side of the track).
I got another without the sun flare but prefer this one and feel the flare captures what it was like!

Yeah, I finished made the cut by 30 minutes. Lots didn't. Got two more days in North Wales. Don't feel too bad in general but the hard, rocky tracks have destroyed my feet.briantrumpet said:Pross said:Not going to win any awards as it was taken on my phone using auto settings about 7 miles into my race (it was brutal, I literally didn't see a cloud in the sky for the first 4 hours / 16 miles and there was no shade on the vast majority of the course. I watched the Dragon's Back Race on Prime, and that looked like absolute hell... his feet at the end were a mess, and still hadn't recovered six months later.
Good luck!!0 -

Watched that on iPlayer last week (assuming it was the same one). Conditions for the first few stages were much like today and they had to do the Crib Goch route to Snowdon. I was looking up at it today and thinking 'thank fuck I don't have to go that way at least!'.briantrumpet said:Pross said:

Every now and again I think it would be a good challenge but luckily a look at the entry fee and route map makes me see sense.0 -

Yes, that was the one. Nuts.0 -
Well done there that man!0

Flare you say? A similar one with all sorts of issues due to my phone cover providing flare and soft focus but I kind of like the overall effect.Pross said:...

This one from nearby is clearer but not really great from a photography point of view. I thought a bunch of cyclists may appreciate it though.
