PS - Anyone recommend a free photo storage/uploader?
Not something I use but I'm fed up of poor quality reproductions on here.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I had to get home and I have a load to sort through. I may become tedious. 😉

Well, I'm going to be tedious, and for longer, so you're excused.

I just create a new Wordpress blog when the 3gb of free storage runs out on each blog. There doesn't seem to be any limit on how many new ones you create, it's just the faff of starting up a new one. I've got one for French photos, one for miscellaneous Devon ones, and one for random photos that don't fit in the other two but which I want to link.

I’ve got mountains of insect pics to post yet. Then there are the gastropods to work on… :)
I use Flickr (1000 pics free). I wasn’t too bothered about the social side (of Flickr) until a Texan started following me.

The version closer in on the bike, mostly for me. 😉
Note these are from my first pass of my phone photos. DSLR version yet to come.

Off the top of my head comfortably above 2000m 9 days out of 10.
The first day was just arrival day bike test. 😉

Nice. As in, 'nice', not the place on the Med.

A few from the past week on the phone. Trying to make Newhaven look nice at a distance, and trying the macro on the phone for the radish leaf hungry caterpillars

For me there is a lack of something to focus on.
    Excellent exposures in difficult lighting.

As we're on bikes and mountains: this is a good reward for 850m of climbing in about an hour:

More hunting through the undergrowth. Spot the mini bee in its jaws.

Love that, it looks like a random large black flower in a field of smaller white flowers rather than a single plant.

Next time you see some wild carrot flowers, you'll realise what an amazing job the camera did. When I do geology photos for my brother, I have strict instructions to give something for scale, but often, otherwise, I like doing macro things without scale, for exactly the reason you mention.

I was in that location for 4 days. There was never a time that the mountain peak was visible, even with cloudless skies elsewhere.

Didn't quite get the timing right, but after a grey & rainy morning (hurrah!), this gentle descent and view pretty much sum up the joy of cycling.

Easy cycling on a smooth road in nice weather with wonderful views can't be beat.
Especially with a cold beer at the finish. 😉

The cold Goudale will be after my supper of Toulouse sausage stew that I cooked before the sun came out to play.

I had to get creative with this one, as I've missed most of the lavender, and especially this particular field that, when it was planted, was obviously going to be a good one for photos. Anyway, the harvesting machine tends to leave little whisps, so I made the most of one of them. That's a 1500m mountain behind, playing just a fuzzy supporting role.

Mid ride stop. Back by lunchtime, as it's 33C now. I can cycle in that, but it's hard work.

Oh, might as well do another 'The joy of cycling' one: a long fast descent, and self-timer success - first attempt:

That window and shutters have some nice French rustic charm.
