Blame your fitness not your age Brian. You don’t want Rick saying at your age you should be selling that Colnago on to a younger more deserving family.

Well, maybe not quite as the naked eye saw it, but it was still nice. The second one is probably closer to what I saw.

Contrasty conditions, so not ideal with bright highlights and dark shadows, but quite pleased considering. A good one to return to on a misty autumn day, but not ready for autumn just yet.

I've been on similar lines, playing with light... for some reason the fly on the bindweed pleases me... maybe it's its shadow.

Trying to see if I can make something abstract out these balconies and the yellow cladding.

Sunset was pretty good tonight - sadly lacking an estuary for a reflection and just had to dodge next door's satellite dish.

I found one of these lying around when I was clearing space ready for the new windows tomorrow... it's even older than me, though I do remember pre-decimal coinage.

and not magnetic 😎
Shouldn’t we be going back to LSD seeing as we’ve come out of Europe? 😉
Ask this of the young folk and just watch their faces – the thought of 12d to the shilling, 20 shillings to the Pound, not to mention guineas etc. LOL

I got a more flattering herring gull photo, but settled on this more comical one.

I bought myself a set of LSD coins for my year of birth for my 60th birthday. I always like the ha'penny, thrupenny, florin and half crown.

Ah, indeed. 😃
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Cycling in high mountains. Two shots within 20 minutes of each other.

Been there, done that. From a wet cold and miserable 18C to sunny and 35C. Two different worlds.

About 10 others that were deleted. Annoyed I didn't get the sun shining through the windows.

Nice little walk in the Black Mountains up the Grwyne valley and over the highest point (Waun Fach) with the hound on Saturday. Loads of Government surveillance drones monitoring the populace pretending to be gliders and a fantastic view down the Dragon's Back, over Mynydd Troed and towards the Fans. The very steep descent was 'interesting' with sheep and ponies bolting out of the bracken and Wolfie thinking it's a game of chase, I was pleased to get down in one piece! Only had my phone as taking proper photos with the hound is tricky so not worth lugging all the kit.

Cool tho.
Well, warm but you know what I mean. 😉

Some pretty old glass in that window.

Yes, it's nice to get an interesting reflection on it. Float glass is boring.+

I think this pizza place in Topsham needs to nick this photo...

Mm, looking forward to my free pizza when I get back.
In the meantime, what insects wouldn't be tempted to a free meal with this décor?

2nd one for me. I must admit that I all too often try to have people-free scenes, but even with that bias don't think that that particular person adds to the composition.
I do enjoy people scenes by people who are better at it than me... but more often than not I find myself getting impatient and waiting for people to move out of shot.

I generally avoid people in photos (and in life!) but do think they add to a cityscape. I envy people who manage to use people to enhance a photo like Jered Gruber with his cycling photos, they are often photos of people who just happen to have a bike race passing them by.
