Oui!
High contrast shots generally work well in B&W.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

Yesterday's efforts with the wind trying to scupper things.
A flower in the making, or a bunch of mutant bananas.

Mediterranean tourist tat. Water cool but astoundingly clear.

Topsham sunset tat. Just nice to get one, more to the point. Didn't notice the car till I got the photo onto the laptop.

Yeah, remove the car ;)

I quite like the car - adds a bit of narrative. Shame it's not something a bit more evocative.

The car is good - an extra element, undefined in its shadow, a bit of a focal point, with unanswered mystery.

Some seaside action.

In an ideal world, it would be a vintage (sports?) car, with its nose pointing to the left.

I've done that angle without car dozens and dozens of times, so it stays this time, even if it would be easy to photoshop out.

A flip screen would've made life easier for this type of shot, but down and dirty it was.

You need to catch up with your dead-heading!
@ masjer - love the silver haired biker staring out to sea wondering where his youth went...

Ha, thanks. Those ninja lifeguards regained some of that youthful vigour when they climbed back on their bikes, thundered off looking for adventure in whatever comes their way... Born to be wild!

Finally a clear night last night so I took the opportunity to go to Whitecastle in Monmouthshire. Unfortunately, the skies never really get fully dark at this time of year and I couldn't stay too late with having to get up this morning so the Milky Way is very faint but managed to get a good few stars. Quite pleased with the photo of the outside of the castle which is a cropped 9 shot panorama. It was so peaceful out there in the middle of nowhere with just bats and the bleating of sheep for company. Really surprised to find that it is left fully open all night. I'll hopefully back in a couple of months when the skies will be darker.

There are literally hundreds of blooms. It goes mad for a couple of weeks and then nothing for the rest of the year. Easier to just do one round of dead heading.

Love these. One of my favourite castles.

Thank you, I hadn't been there for probably 40 years or more until Sunday despite growing up about 5 or 6 miles away. On Sunday it was the annual relay race my club organises that comprises 13 stages over 100 miles linking castles and other historic ruins in the area. I realised it was accessible 24 hours a day and away from significant light pollution so thought it would be worth a trip back. Glad I did but really hope for another opportunity later in the summer when it's darker.

Ours bloom a couple of times a year. We have one at the front that was planted in memory of our Staffie, who was called Rosie, that is ridiculous. It has grown straight up and must be 8 foot high now with no support.

St Austell.
Did you get it topped up so you got a whole pint??
0 -
No, but I'm seeing if I can stir, as my suspicion is that they are routinely selling short pints as company policy. Any other reason to have inline sparklers? I'm pretty sure that the bar staff would find their jobs easier without them.

People like having a proper head on the beer?
