I think they are all linked images, as they are too big to be uploads. My guess would be a caching glitch or similar, but something to do with the terrible forum platform, whatever, like the daft drafts glitchPross said:
It’s odd, I can see mrb’s pictures. I assume it’s a direct upload v image link thingbriantrumpet said:Now that's weird... I've just changed to my phone, and I can see as little as Pross, even masjer's retweet, which I could see on the laptop, has disappeared.

Here's a link to the second image. I can see both but that might be because I posted it in the first place. https://photos.app.goo.gl/cQMiqMqtpWnjF5Ws81985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

Boring postcard composition, but nice workplace yesterday:

Not really been the weather for any landscapes of late but spring has sprung giving a few subjects. Lots of colour starting to come through and this was pretty much the sight in every field on my run yesterday, this particular family were all waiting for their portrait (iPhone and zoomed in a lot so not as sharp as I'd have liked).

More ever popular flowers.

As I've got nothing else especially creative today, one of my occasional selfies, the head-on ones being the trickiest ones to time right... but reasonably pleased with the framing as I wanted to get the snow-covered cliffs behind. Sorry I'm not gurning with the effort, but it's only a 740m col.

Mucky old weather.

I was being chastised for having gone several days without photos of cake, so I undertook the onerous task.

It's a fair point, and though it's satisfied my critics for now, I shall have to do better next time.1 -
One of the wood carvings from a local arts festival. I’m always amazed by the intricate details they get. There’s a load of them around here that get left as public art although the weather and insects are taking their toll on many now.4 -
I made amends on the cake front with a very fine cheesecake from my favourite bakery... this and a coffee for about £3.30.

Cake? Made from cheese? What madness is this?
😂😂😂The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.1 -

Are you telling me that I need to go back to the bakery *again*?0 -
No bakeries involved in my little 20-mile loop today. I'll save you the side-on-selfie (timing to a tee though), and give you this one. Fairly normal for here.

It’s a reference to a comedian’s skit. His name evades me.briantrumpet said:pblakeney said:Cake? Made from cheese? What madness is this?

As I've no idea who, I'm going to ignore your comment and go on a real cake hunt anyway, sans fromage.0 -

As he’s a comedian nothing is to be taken seriously. 😉The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

It was a very quick snap on the hoof as I walked to the station, but I'll take that 😁. Very nice of you to say.pinno said:

^ They seem to lie in wait for you, Pross.
Just saw one person today and a (retired) sheepdog. He’s a wise old fellow who appears from the manor/farm when he hears the gate open for a spot of TLC.(still talking about the dog here)
Wood anemones (lots).

Top photo is the real reason I went for my walk this morning... the August forest fire here is going to take some healing over the years/decades, and I'm hoping to be able to see & document at least the start of the process. Apparently the 'initial phase' of re-greening takes 5-10 years, but up to 100 years for all the scars to disappear.
The other photos are just snaps from the afternoon ride, but the light was absolutely glorious, and the spring colours a bit psychedelic!

It looks like the trees have it tough at the best of times. Shallow free draining soil with dry summers?
I suppose after the fire, the organic matter must be stripped out of the soil, slowing any regrowth.
