    Viviani not looking as cool after that off. That breather probably worked nicely for Hansen.

    Don't know how didn't see him, as he looked down while moving and could see him, he's appoligsed to viviani, but does change the race now as rest for rear of riders. Garvavi gained a lap too

    Can't understand how they let Hansen and Gaviria gain a lap with little effort to stop them. Hansen showed in the scratch he was more than capable of doing it. Think he's going to miss out as he's getting marked out every time.

    There's a 'blind spot' in those helmets and as he was so close to Cav's side, I think that might be part of the problem.

    But I think it's inexcusable either way. Anyway, racing back underway and let's be patriotic :)

    It was like this in the worlds when cav/wiggo got marked and chased down everytime until 35laps to go, so maybe he's waiting for them to slow until 50laps or so to go

    Not sure I like this omnium format. It's basically just a points race with a prologue. They may as well have just kept the Olympics points race.

    It's great for the IOC though, because it restricts the number of medals in cycling whilst still keeping the other race formats.

    Cav needs to commit to one of these half breaks if he wants gold. Think he may just be settling for a silver or bronze.

    Cav doesn't do settling. If he has the legs... he'll do everything he can to try and get Gold. It's pretty much his last chance to get one.
