Haha cavendish riding up the Chris hoy and asking for his autograph than debrief about the race, saying he would of been caught in 4 laps than about the next two races enjoyed watching that

I'm surprised they put canoeing on at all. BTW how are the canoeing sprints going? Is that on tv or a live feed at all. At least cycling become sufficiently mainstream now with the great success over recent Olympics. There's many minor sports that only.get shown if there's nothing else happening. Like fencing Greco Roman wrestling, Sprint canoeing, marathon canoeing, martial arts apart from boxing and the rare judo in such a Brit gets through to semis.

Trott, brilliant, holding them all off for last couple of laps for 2nd place. Sharakova getting 1st getting the lap over everyone else.

As detailed in an entertaining article I read in the Guardian the other day, the BBC is taking a Grandstand approach to its TV coverage of these Olympics. So they mainly skip between more popular events with just short updates on the rest.

However, if you're in the UK you can watch both catch up and live coverage of specialist events via the BBC website. This includes the canoe sprints. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live-guide

At least on Virgin, and I guess on Sky and Freesat, there are 8 channels of HD feed with uninterrupted cycling, horsies or sailing (if that's your thing).

On an Internet connected TV press red and there are upto 24 streams available. If your TV isn't internet connected then a streamer like a Now TV box or an Amazon Fire Stick are pretty cheap and will give you iPlayer and the BBC Sport app which also have all the live streams.

Or if you have a decent sized monitor watch on your PC - I've two 28" 4K monitors, and one has been in almost continuous Olympics coverage of one thing or another during the working day.

Does anyone know what the semi final matchups are in the women's sprint?
If it's on qualification time then it's James V Ligtlee and Marchant V Sze. Have I got that right?

They are still at the quarter final stage which is tomorrow at 2pm

They do not match up in the individual sprint in the same way they do for the team sprint

Not many going well, points to be had. You can see a lot of them dying in the final straight tonight.

Good opportunity for Hansen, Cav and Vivianni.

But not as impressive as Kennett. He'll at least medal of course providing he doesn't côck the points race up, which he is capable of doing.

The points race should suit Cav with the distance and sprints.

Chris hoy has been pretty spot on with his comments so far, with cavs times and with kenny winning the medals and reckons cav can win gold, I think cav can win gold tonight. Hoping he does so much

If Cav wins Gold I predict him to produce a full on blub. To a level Murray would be proud of.

Nice to see Mears and Pendleton getting on so well. I think Pendleton has really benefitted from retiring from something she plainly found stressful and replacing it with a sport she appears to genuinely enjoy.
