OK so way more exciting than yesterday's arrival, today it was a double gear cable clamp, really nice condition, no need to polish it either, but of course I did :D

Impressed, as I know you all were with yesterday's clamp, I thought I would show you my brakes, these are not the same brakes from earlier pictures, those were newer, these are the same era ones as my other Imholz and match perfectly.

    DSC04465.jpg

I bought these brakes here in Portugal and they came with these blocks...

    DSC04465_2.jpg

They are stamped 'Racodi' a Spanish company that made track bikes.

    ^ Some lug lining there.

I hope they don't test out your wheels in Lisboa across all those tramlines.

    Yes...and no :D

Yes the man I bought the brakes from that had the Racodi blocks attached that I changed to weinmann ones from my other set, doesn't make brakes.

No, Racodi make track bikes that don't have brakes as pointed out by Pinno but also Made brake blocks :D

Glad I cleared that one up :D

Wheels arrived today, Wahey, now that is exciting :D

I will post pics so you can criticise them, but please feel free to pre judge them

Shimano 600 large flange hubs, 36 hole, Mavic rims 19mm width, stainless steel spokes, 700c etc

19mm, tut tut. I've seen your roads. You'll need 28mm tyres minimum for that old bone shaker and they won't fit. Large flange, 36 spokes per wheel?! Cor blimey gov'nor, as stiff as a stiff in an Igloo who died snorting liquid Nitrogen.
If you wanted stiff, why didn't you get a few scaffolding poles and strap two dustbin lids to them?

Err - hate to pour water on troubled oil and all that, but you do know that set up is incompatible and won't work don't you?

    Sorry.

Your impression of the sound of those tyres on smooth Tarmac or the jaded cynical view of your world, a little bored with our life are we?

Mrs T is very pleased with her new wheels and 'open tubular' tyres and that is all I need to say :D

They were a bugger to fit those tyres, I even had a warm up exercise by fitting a pair of Schwalbe Marathomn Plus to a friend's bike before fitting these, they were simple by comparison!

    Nice wheels...

I think you need something a bit bigger to keep you occupied. You can polish it lots and lots...

What does Mrs T47 think about this Swiss miss Mk2? I bet she's feeding you platitudes and quietly hoping that one essential part can't be found.

It's looking sweet, I mus admit that.

Get a trailer no tow both of them being the Isetta while quaffing champagne and laughing at passing plebs.

So she won't have to ride it. I've seen your collection and she has much more practical options. This one is for hanging up on the wall.
