No Dads taxi tonight, but we did have an unplanned trip to the vet's when junior hound managed to swallow a wet wipe whole. One induced vomit later and he's fine but my wallet a bit lighter. At least I've managed a drink tonight.

Mainly done stuff today. Got the Panzer tanked up for this weeks journey north and headed out to see my cousin in South Norwood before she and her hubby push off to Aus for 2 months, jammy gits.

    Work looms tomorrow...

    Evening nobchops,

Started the flooring upstairs, got one bedroom done, other one tomorrow then the hallway and then it's skirting boards. I'm having sooooo much fun! Can't you tell.
Countdown to the weekends rugby and boozing has started, getting nervous already about it.

By time you've finished your DIY bg, it'll be time to start redecorating and refurbishing :) Average day push in paper around and torturing numbers. But then again it was Monday.

    Evening twunts,

Diy hell continues though an evening of foods and boozes helps numb it a bit!

    Hello, knobbers.
The usual blah here - Work, rubbish. Home, not bad. Cycling, not enough. Weather, so-so.

Today I am reviewing an overblown document that has been written by an illiterate chimp with no grasp of how a template works. It's heavy going.

Started to mow the back lawn last night. After I had done about two-thirds of it the mower ran out of go-go juice. It then started to rain so I couldn't be arsed to do the rest. I am going to declare the unmowed section to be a 'nature reserve'.

Liking the nature reserve idea JBA would save me a lot of arrising about.

Evening throbbers, flooring blah this morning then a trip to the diy shop to buy more flooring as I didn't get enough the first time! Also got skirting and some other stuff!

    Happy flippin' Friday, freaks.

Half day for me today and then a week off. I am so looking forward to a bit of down time. Nothing much planned apart from visiting The Boy in uni' next Wednesday.

    Onwards! To coffee and shirking.

Will be getting ready for a 550 mile round trip in the pouring rain. Wonderful but I suppose the car will get a wash. Just need to delegate my way through another 3 hours at work...

    Evening twastards,

Today i have viewed some poor rugby and suffered from laminate flooring tourettes, skirting and trim bits next. I will most certainly suffer from mitre joint based Tourettes.

The countdown to the RWC final starts now.

    Tosspots.

Today's rugby was a big disappointment. Neither team played particularly well but SA were marginally less bad than Wales.

Garage sorting out started today. Much stuff that had accumulated has been despatched to the dump. I can now almost get to the back of the garage.

I'm sure I posted here this morning, must be going senile...

Anyhow, got a fair bit done sorting the last of the stuff I brought back from up North. Glad its no me sorting the old house out mind! Rugby was good this weekend, pity Wales never made the final as then if we win, it would mean we'd have beaten 3 sheep shagging nations on the trot to win the trophy :P

  • This new look is somehow all too clean white and sterile for Crudcatcher, but hey ho. Shall we declare normal service resumed? More DIY mainly involving painting ceilings with a side of vacuuming dust off the masonry walls. Criminy this retirement gig is full of thrilling stuff.

I read TLW’s post and thought that too.
Went to the pub with the lad to watch the match. First pint was off, maybe it was an omen.
Off to see Jeff Goldblum live tonight, might be a laugh. If it’s shite we’re only down the road and tickets were cheap so worth a punt.

Stressbag jinxed England by deciding to watch the game I reckon. I didn't get up till half time I was that knackered after retrieving Stropteen from a late finishing party last night.

I also need to compensate for not drinking last night.

Ah BG, back to square one, eh? :) I’ve a similar problem, have trouble posting from Macbook Pro, but iPad and iMac works fine. Not tried phone.

DIY ongoing here too. Floor coverings in today which means my next week or two will be spent fitting base boards, architraves and all the other b0ll0x needed, then painting the whole lot.

Balls to DIY - I can't stand doing it even if I did have the time. Have consumed cider instead, it's more fun. Also means that Stressbags moaning is less annoying.
