    Howdy 'Dippers

Spent the last couple days watching someone else work for a change - tiler has started work on bathroom and loo downstairs. Today however was back to DIY hell for me, this time gardening tasks. Pulled out a huge pile of weedy scrubby stuff, to be mulched or burned.

Currently drinking large glasses of shiraz in attempt to dull the ache in the neck/back/arms/hands.

Good to hear somebody else is in diy hell!

    Evening peenarses,

Rugby all morning washed down with beers and some tractor time mowing the weeds/grass this pm. Then helped put the chickens to bed.

    Evening bishop bashers,
Been busy lately, but nothing as exciting as what bg has been up to so I didn't bother posting. Glad he made it to my 80th, it's always good to have someone around that makes me look young.
Done some DIY today so I feel worthy of posting on here. Shower is repaired and some dodgy bits of wall prep'd ready for me to throw some paint at them tomorrow.

Nice of your carers to log you back in!

    Afternoon tw@s,

Watched some rugby earlier, tiled part of a bathroom and am now off to collect a trailer load of wood that will be turned into mulch!

In other news, it's Monday tomorrow!

More hound hell than DIY hell here. Junior dog got an eye infection yesterday and after a late evening visit to the local emergency vets just in case is now barging into things wearing the 'cone of shame'.

This has all made Stressbag even more stressy and bag-like than usual which has filtered down to me  Think I'll go to work for a rest tomorrow.

    Evening mincers,

Had a decent round of steak n chips washed down with red wine. Glad my mate knows some better restaurants than me. Stressbag is bound to be in a bad mood with me when I get home...

    Evening weazelwankers,

Renovating an armchair as a bit of a sideline so have been de-skinning the frikken thing. Just how many staples do you really need to secure cow skin to wood, FFS!

Back to my proper job tomorrow.

Yep, eat hunks of cow before it's banned!

Almost a boring day at work today so sacked off a bit early and did little of any note. Pedalling tomorrow so I'd better stuff my face :)

    Hello, tossers.
The great clear out has started at home. SWMBO has declared that there is too much stuff in the house and a lot of it needs to go. When I pointed out that most of it is hers and I never wanted it in the first place she got a bit* arsey and started slamming doors. A win for me, I think. :)
I see an empty space and think 'that's nice'. She sees the same empty space and thinks 'I can fill that with something unwanted and unnecessary'.

Women, eh? They are all mad.

    Evening Hermits,

Quiet in here isn't it. The weekend has just flown by with lying in bed, doing jobs and Dads taxi work. I'm kind of looking forward to going to the office tomorrow.

Junior and her mates got chucked out of a pub last night for underage drinking, she's 18 but quite a few are 17 and the local Wetherspoons seems a bit hot on the underage thing. Hopefully they'll learn to go to the offy and drink at someones house instead.

    Evening slacktards,
Another weekend of heavy duty DIY. I replaced the time switch on the boiler, took several seconds. Opening the box was the hardest bit. This underlined how great I am in the eyes of the Mrs so she didn’t nag once about me finishing other jobs. Or I just ignored her.
Bit hungover today after two 50th birthday bashes last night. But I think I had a good time.

    Evening twerps,

Good to see V68's carers got him to his computer for his weekly go on here, impressive diy skills by the way.

Sat on my crack watching sport today, all suitably enjoyed.

Back to the grind stone tomorrow. Fitting doors and laying floors!

Oh, bloody hell. It's Monday again!

    Morning, frottage fans.
I thought I would feel refreshed after a weekend of not doing much, but I am knackered.
Thoroughly enjoyed the rugby yesterday. It was an ugly win for Wales but the Japan - Scotland match was a joy to watch, unlike the Dragons match on Friday night. What a shower of excrement. I normally last until about Christmas before I despair and wonder why the heck I bought a season ticket. This year it's after just 1 home game!

My day was a bit like that except without the firewood. It's wetter than an otters pocket round here: sacked off pedalling 'till tomorrow as it was so grim and I was being a wuss.

    Evening Throbbers,

Busy day at the coal face and now deciding what wine to sup after a good ride home. Day was also improved somewhat by hot marketing girl saying 'goodnight Steve' totally unprompted, so she obviously fancies me.

    Afternoon gnoshers and gnoshees,

Visited the diy shop this morning, got three door hadles for the doors i fitted the other day, went cheap, as you do and now really wish I hadn't. Pieces of shyte. Nightmare to fit and it didn't help that i was all man and sheared one of the fitting bolts! So a trip back to the shop later in the week beckons!

Came home early from work to dog sit and spent most of the time keeping the peace between two warring hounds. I'm knackered! Beer after work tomorrow so ar least I'll get an evening off.

    Evening di1dos,

Collected a trailer full of wood off cuts this morning, helped with recovering a chair this afternoon, was awesome at the local quiz and am now watching shyte on the box.
Tomorrow is rugby, beer and a bacon sandwhich with more beer.

    Evening felchees,
Did a lot of nothing and bits of something today, about the right balance for a Saturday. Felt like I had a hangover which was particularly dull as I hadn’t been drinking. Another night of not drinking as I’m doing the Dad’s taxi thing tonight.
