Happy anniversary. The reminds me, our 20th anniversary isn't that far off so a trip to a petrol station selling flowers may be in order :)
It was our 24th anniversary yesterday, I splashed out and bought her some flowers in Sainsbury's whilst I was waiting for the chippy to get dinner ready. Bought her a card that said "I'm not bored of you yet"
I know how to spoil a girl.
You should have got one of these special anniversary cards just to make the point about how much you still care:

    I forgot to get flowers.......
    I bet that was painful.
Stopped off on the way home from tonight’s race - home at 21:40, the sulks started and brought out the flowers, she then made me dinner - winner winner

I'd best buy something this weekend as I want to get fed when I come home from work.

Evening Spazwangles, finished interviewing minions and one lucky victim will be made an offer they can't refuse tomorrow. I've earned an drink I reckon.

Been busy keeping the peace between warring hounds. But have managed to down some plonk in the process.

Minionette accepted my offer so my evil empire continues to grow. I'll be flying the departmental skull and crossbones high tomorrow :)

    Evening d1knoshers,

Had a good weekend so far, out last night to a nearby village for foods and drinks followed by fireworks. Today has been slower but cleaned the pool and the little gite, did some shopping and have just had a couple of beers to help m sleep!

Tomorrow is more cleaning and stuff!

    Evening Bishop Bashers,

Busy day here doing jobs, looking after unruly hounds etc. Stropteen is now back and crashed out as she's knackered after her biology field trip. Now watching the 'Resident Evil' trilogy and supping G&T.

Busy day and I actually rode a bike for part of it  Accepted an offer on my folks house as well, so the race is on to get it cleared out.

    Evening badgers of bishops,
Busy day followed by extended wobble home and a beer. Then had to fix the kitchen tap before cooking dinner. Now lounging for all I’m worth.
Good weekend was had so today seemed like a rest in contrast. Less than two weeks until we go on holiday, can’t wait.

Ordered a new fork for bike 1, because CLEARLY the existing one has decayed from lack of use and needs replacing.

Checked the remains of a fire we lit in a tree stump 2 days ago. It's still going underground. :D Will keep the rabbits warm anyway.

Spinner, if you actually ride bikes you may not fit in here :)

Let us known when the fire reaches the Northern hemisphere, sounds like a good result from a Cruddy point of view.

The fire was a win indeed. The stump was still about a foot and a half above ground, and quite wide. Will check today and see what size crater it's left. Might be a few more round the place get the same treatment.

I've sold two bikes in the last few weeks, so am down to "only" 5. Makes it easier to decide what not to ride every day. :D

EDIT: just checked, fire still smouldering away underground this morning. Told a few of the other trees loitering about to take note.

Knowing your luck you'll forget about it and fall down the hole in a few weeks time.

The hounds seems to be scrapping less but are still a bit of a handful as you cant leave stuff lying around as the little 'un will have it and then the big 'un thinks its time for a tug of war. I'm in the office all week for a bit of peace 'n' quiet :)

This is entirely possible, especially since it is *still going*!

Another rubbish night’s sleep meant a slow start and a slack day. No power-tool based gardening activity done as a result, meaning the front paddock is looking a little odd, like a half-Brazilian wax job, mown down one side only.

    Drinking herbal tea FFS.

Wheelspinner, share your recipe, i have some stumps and severe pyromania!

    Evening pencil dix,

Went up the smoke (Poitiers) to pick up a staircase and some swimming pool supplies then a couple of tyres on the German whip!
Tomorrow is repairing a chums ride on mower, having a swim and a gallon of cheap red!

I'm relying on the hounds to destroy the lawn and save me from cutting it. Dog p1ss seems to wipe out grass quite nicely.

Off home after a few beers to face the music.

Nothing special, just a stinking hot fire on top to get them started....

Cold wet windy day so no pyro stuff. Sorted drama with mother instead who managed to possibly write-off her car into the back of a truck. She’s fine, car not so much

    Evening Skivers,

Busy weekend doing jobs, refereeing hound fights and filling in crappy forms from solicitors about flogging the house. New minionette starts tomorrow so I'd better get my delegating hat on!

    Evening noshers and noshees,

Had no wifi since Friday, repairmen turned up today, they were a French version of the Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse characters Lee and Lance..........only not as clever. They did fix it though which i had real doubts about!

Been diy'ing and sobering up after a decent weekend on the sauce!

Yay, bg lives :D It was getting like the Marie Celeste in here.

New minionette is starting to settle in and I've delegated all the handover to outgoing minion. So things are looking up at work. Has left me with a bit of time to sort some of the shizzle to do with flogging my folks house. Time for a drink...

    Hello, harem hunters.

I have been absent for a while due to a combination of a firewall clamp down in work, a temporary loss of broadbean at home and a dose of cantbearsed*. Back now though, invigorated and ready to rock.

We still haven’t sorted out a summer holiday for this year but have started to plan a little coastal cycle tour of Normandy next July. 10 days of riding luggage-laden bikes whilst either pissed or hung over is very appealing.

I hope the house sale goes through quickly, Steve. It will be one less thing to worry about and let you move on.
New minionette: female, I assume? Pictures?

    Evening spankers of hairy primates,
Another busy day, stayed late trying to plough through old emails I’ve been avoiding. Binned a load and dealt with the important stuff. Just need to sort a few things out before going on holiday Friday. Thankfully we have sorted one, unfortunately the exchange rate means it’s rather more expensive than usual. Lad’s girlfriend is coming with us, must make an effort to maintain eye contact when talking to her.
How long without WiFi bg? Good job you had all that hidden camera footage.

I wouldn't want to disappoint you lads as I recruited her on criteria other than the normal cruddy ones

Fingers crossed house sale goes through by end of Sept/early Oct if all goes to plan. Which of course it won't.

Careful. Sounds like MrsBG is up to something.
Finished Mowing Season 1, Episode 4. Now gotta start Season 2, The East Side. Will try not to lose the mower in the crater left by burning stump, which as at yesterday was *still noticeably warm*.

    But first, physio visit. Yippee.
