Morning, ghosts of the forum past.

Why isn't it Friday yet? I woke up this morning thinking it was and then had the crushing realisation that I was a day ahead of myself. Bah!

Had a bit of a mixed week so far. A couple of visits to remote sites for work, a row with a colleague who doesn't think professionalism and accuracy is important and a couple of rides in the rain. Alas not much booze, but I'll put that right on the weekend.

Taking it easy in the office today and pretending to write stuff.

    TTFN.

    Morning aris bandits,
Ouch, that sucks JBA. Thankfully didn't happen to me this morning. Been a bit of a manic week with all sorts going on in and out of work. Think I'm winning. Thursday morning mild hangover is already passing, the coffee may have helped. Out to another pub tonight that's about 20 miles away, riding there and back seemed like a good idea when we planned it.

    Evening midweek contributors and Stevo,

Mildish hangover here this morning as had scoof and boozes with chums last night, had a trip out to collect my French ID this afternoon, didn't realise the photos i sent for it were so good, muchos facial hair!

Enjoy the pedal V68, reckon the return will be a joy to behold!

    Yeah, bloody part timers :)

ACOAD, so I thought I'd go out and drink cider with a mate to compensate. More interviewing potential minions tomorrow, at least it's by phone so I dont have to look at them.

    Evening Soap Dodgers,

Busy day minion hunting, now having a drink and paying for the new hound. Ouch. May need to have another drink.

    Morning tw@s in hats,
I think the L in TLW should now stand for lightweight, lots of running in place of ale. He’s a changed man I tell you.
Nice and sunny here, spent most of the morning irritating the wife. This will probably continue for most of the day.
Eurgh, peace and quiet has just been shattered by a bloke digging up the road with a pneumatic drill.

    Evening sk1dmarks,

Enough of your trivia, have some of mine!

Been up a ladder all day fitting guttering to a barn, tested it with the hose pipe and i have two leaks, one easily sorted and one that will be a pig!

In other news summer appears to be here which is blah as the bbq we went to last night was rained off!

    What's that in tonnes? :P

Stressy and Stroppy are off to the other side of The Big Smoke to collect the new hound. Their directional sense is atrocious so hopefully they'll be back before sunset (today).

Much antics and fun are expected when Muttley meets gnasher, who is 10 weeks old now. In the meatime, Muttley and I will enjoy our last bit of peace n quiet for some time. Think I'll brew a cofee.

Enjoy the peace while it lasts Stevo.
Street party here this afternoon. Beer and cake whilst making inappropriate comments to neighbours wives is the plan for me. Judging the cake competition is my only task, it’s a tough job etc, etc...

Enjoy the good old cockney knees up V.

For some reason when you mentioned that you were going to a London street party, this sprang to mind: :)

    Evening chutney ferrets,

Have you got your kitchen roll and marigolds ready for new mutts toilet training Stevo?

Red hot here today so i finished off the barn guttering and filled a couple of holes with cement ready for a huge lump of stone that will become a step!
Finished the day with a glarse of grape juice and a swim in ones pool!

    Enjoying work tomorrow fluffers!

We've avoided any carpet staining events so far. Bit chaotic mind, the young winds the older one up a fair bit. Might go to work for some peace tomorrow.

My younger one is now 6, and the older 11, and she still winds him up a fair bit.

Its 10 weeks plays 4 years here so you can imagine the amount of winding up going on. The young 'un just wants to play - he was having a good go at chewing my trouser leg this morning.

    Evening canine appreciators,

Brickying, mowing and shopping today, started early to avoid working outside in the heat so feeling tired now. New gite is rented for a month from Thursday so the bottom feeder is very stressed, which means i must share the stress!

    Morning, dog's lipsticks.

After nearly 3 whole days of sunshine it is raining again here.

Small and Shouty has declared that she doesn't want to go on holiday this summer. She wants a dog instead! SWMBO has been going on about getting a mutt for about 20 years so I have told her to get on with it. Something medium sized that doesn't molt too much and hopefully won't try and eat the settees.
I fancy something that could become a trail dog. However, I am conscious of the fact I am neither fast nor skilled so it could end up as a waiting-on-the-trail dog.

The Boy had his letters confirming funding for Uni this week. Tuition fees and paying for accommodation alone will result in a debt of about £43k after 3 years. That's without paying for travel, food, clothes, books, booze, hookers and blow. I can see the Bank of Mum and Dad taking a hammering.

Day off tomorrow for a trip to The Big City and luncheon with SWMBO.

Cockapoo should fit the bill JBA. We've got two now and its non-stop entertainment. They don't eat sodfas but shoes are on the menu. The little one is only 11 weeks but still managed to drag one of Stressbags wellies from the hall half way across the lounge leaving a nice trail of mud across the carpet yesterday :) . (Well one is a cockapoo poodle but they look pretty much the same).

If you're worried about fees, my kid is trying to get onto a 6 year course

Yeah, was thinking maybe Cockerpoo or Cavapoo, Stevo.
One of my sisters has a Cockerpoo that is very quiet and shy. A friend has a Cavapoo that is non-stop and always entertaining.

I'm looking at a minimum of 6 years fees as well. Small and Shouty will be starting Uni as The Boy leaves. Blydi kids.

    Afternoon piston broke types,
Also on the uni open day trail this week, Nottingham Friday and Loughborough Saturday with the female child. Unfortunately this means spending a night in the North* we will also have two of her friends in tow as their parents didn't want to drive so far. The boy is only one year down on a five year course so we are trying to persuade the girl to take a year off to minimise the overlap as funding will become very tight at that point.
Busy at work, but I might make it out to a pub tonight. Other than that it's not raining, but so humid I wish it would.

Evening people who i nearly feel sorry for as your dogs/kids shyteeverywhere/bleed youdry*

Outdoor graft which involved lifting a huge lump of stone around with 'worlds strongest man' grunting to help!

Been out to watch the Elton John film tonight, thought it really good though not a fan of the roadie scenes!

We are tempted for another dog, probably another springer as we tend to do large mileage with the current mutt (30 miles one day)

Today is working from home so I can get to track practice later
