I like that description JBA. I do try to liven it up n there from time to time but it's hard going.

Evening Knuckle Shufflers, busy day but I won my fight with HR before they'd wasted too much oxygen. I'm renaming them the RPD (recruitment prevention department) in honour of the fight they put up. Off home to chill now.

    Evening butt wipes,

Cemented some posts into the ground and got a few small pricks in my hands from some brambles! Great day! Even managed some frikkin shopping! Boom!

    Evening bumders

New immersion today. New craptop today. No new bike for a long time, sadly both were sort of necessary, I mean, I can probably cope without hot water but apparently we've got to have it or something like that according to SWMBO.

Spent some time faffing in the garden too, doing stuff with wood. No brambles for me though, but I did pull some thorns out of my finger over the weekend and had no idea when they'd got there or how long they'd been there- a few days at least I'd guess judging by the inflammation going on. Meh.

    Afternoon freaktards.

Two in a row from me, onto a winner here. Today has involved riding bikes while SWMBO cleans the house before guests arrive, hopefully guests will be considerate and have lie-ins allowing me to ride my bike, even if it's just an hour tomorrow morning, although if they fancy staying in bed until early afternoon on Sunday I won't complain.

    Afternoon three finger shufflers,
I'd say five finger for normal people but bg said he had a small prick in his hand.
Been busy here, we let my admin assistant take a week off so I've had to do even more work which is no good. Went to the cafe for the obligatory Fryday, added the black pudding option for extra goodness so I'm feeling a bit snoozy. Stopping for a beer on the way home to raise a glass in honour of our mate that died last year as tomorrow is the first anniversary but I'm taking the female child to an open day at Sussex Uni.
    Onwards and upwards...

That reminds me, the Uni tour season is starting - I've got one of those in a couple of weeks or so , it's in the middle of the week but oh no they can't make their own way there, I have to take them

Anyhow, it's POETS day so I'm off. Had just about enough tax for one day - the CEO came round to talk to me about this acquisition we're doing where there's loads of tax exposures flying around and just started helping himself to my bag of pistachios. Bastard!

    Evening nut noshers,

    Evening king dong swallowers,

Nowt much diy to report, managed a swift half round some chums this afternoon then had curry!

Got guests in the little gite, it was a woman and her two kids who booked but the 'friend' who was giving them a lift and who was 'definitely ' not staying is staying! It's like wayne and waynetta slob and their slob kids! Really looking forward to them leaving, not looking forward to the clean up job!

Nuke it from orbit, its the only way to be sure.

Evening Bishop Bashers, done loads today, including consuming coffee and bacon, burning super unleaded, even some exercise. Just digesting some Turkish takeaway (not a kebab in case anyone was wondering) and making inroads into the wine stash.

    Afternoon wads of the d1k,

Another lazy day here, managed a couple of glarses of wine at lunch which ensured i dozed through our telly recording of montalbano!

Quieter from the Gite direction, i assume it's coz her manfriend has done one, hoping he comes to pick her up tomorrow though he'll need a substantial vehicle as she's a bit of a unit!

    Watcha, hand-shandy lovers.

Managed to quaff a bottle of red last night while SWMBO was out at a Take That concert. I forgot about the few bottles of lager I'd already had and woke up in the middle of the night with a hot head. A couple of manupacetamols and a decent bike ride this morning soon sorted me out though.

Had a bash at 'tidying' the garage this afternoon to improve access to the bikes. All I seem to have done is rearranged the mess, but I did find a BB tool I thought I had lent to a mate.

Thought I posted on here yesterday, must be getting senile.

Evening Gimps, only 2 more days in the office then a trip to see my overseas minions in Clogland. Plenty to do between now and then so I forget about it by drinking wine tonight.

    Evening monkey spankers,
I hope you disabled the webcams in the small gite bg, you don’t want too much fetishist traffic. Mainstream should generate more traffic and therefore income.
Wetter than an otter’s pocket out there today, great day for riding a bike. Road under the railway is flooded so police have closed it from Kingston Bridge. This means several miles of gridlocked detour for drivers, I breezed through whistling a happy tune. The happy tune was just to annoy any drivers with open windows. I thought it would help as a lot of them looked very cross.

Didn't it go cold by the time they got there?

    Morning, shirkers.

It is chucking it down here in The Promised Land and looks like it's going to be the same for a day or two.
Small and Shouty is in Belgium on a school trip to WW1 sites. The school posted a few photos yesterday and they all looked bedraggled. Adds to the overall experience, I guess.

Today brings the joy of procedure reviews and report writing. I cannot wait.

    Onwards!

When I used to head over for a spot of DH I can't remember when it wasn't raining over in your neck of the woods.

Evening Wasters, bloody busy day at work but last day in the office tomorrow as I'm off to clogsville first thing on Thursday morning. Couldn't be arrived to get up at stupid o'clock for the flight so I've booked a hotel next to the airport and can have a little drink or two tomorrow night.

    Evening Soap Dodgers,

On my way over to Docklands where I'll sit in a hotel bar, watch the box, stuff my face and drink wine. Early flight to that country below sea level tomorrow to see the clog wearing minions. They'd better have booked a good restaurant to keep me entertained tomorrow evening!

    Evening lezbots,

    Schmoke and a pancake Stevo!

Up a ladder filling gaps in plasterboard again, no fun was had. Got the tractor tyre fixed so that was a win.

More diy tomorrow! Woop de woop

    Evening sausage lovers,

Good day of outdoor based graft, fitted a fence post, planted something for her and did a fark ton of strimming and mowing. The strimming went well until i found where the chickens go to the toilet, but at least i look good with freckles!

Take it Stevo is doing some schmoking!

So you're a tent down bg?

Made it back from Clogsville in one piece, now having a well deserved drink. In other news, we've acquired another hound: picking him up next weekend. It's going to be carnage...

    Evening Reprobates,

Busy week coming up - including some new minion hunting, sent out the brief to the agencies last week and got 19 applications back. It'll help keep me awake at least.

Bg, surely if you marinate them in something strong enough you can have a BBQ. Very handy for disposing of the evidence too.

Evening Spazwangles, busy day at the office so I need a drink. The girls have been getting ready for the new junior hound arriving on Saturday. He looks deceptively cute in the pics bit the little gits have teeth like needles so I'll have forearms and lower legs like a junkie after next weekend.

Good call Stevo, invite loads of locals, they eat anything!

    Evening queahs, lasses and southerners,

At the solicitors today sorting the will, leaving everything to the nieces and nephews, in France there is 50% inheritance tax which sucks but for that to happen me and the mrs will be toes up so we aren't really going to be too worried about who gets what!
Got back from the solicitors to find our (elderly) dutch guests by the pool which is great that they are enjoying the place but i wish she was fully covered, must have been tidy in her day though!

Tell them it's horse meat. Not that far off the mark and should create a bit of a stampede amongst the garlic scented soap dodgers.

I'm sure I posted here last night. I blame Wiggle - or maybe wine.

Onwards to minion hunting, interspersed with some work.
