Evening facial receivers!

Did a days labouring for a builder mate who will help me install the staircase on the gite in the near future, he needs me for Friday as well......blah! It's only rendering an extension so not too demanding.

Having a quick glarse of grape juice then a quick swim then bed.

Helped the mrs start a refurb on a chair! Hoovered sh1t, mowed sh1t and shopped for sh1t, just had curry and a beer so the world is all good again.
Also bought a lottery ticket so i'll be shopping for my Bentley on Saturday!

Evening strollers of the Bourneville boulevard,
Not been on here much as things have been stupidly busy. A fairly manic day getting all my shizzle sorted ready to go on holiday. Evening has been spent packing and loading the car, up early to get to that French France and out the other side of it as quickly as possible, it’s an annoying place. Just big and in the way when trying to get to Italy. Two and a half weeks of good food and drink to be enjoyed.

Anyone pushed off on holiday? As you're about to miss a proper heatwave down in the sunny Sarf East this week. Will be getting some good sweaty riding in this week. Fnarr Fnarr.

Huuuuuuuuuugely busy day though. Walk on the beach, then coffee/chill in the sunshine. Garden centre this arvo to collect bags of dirt/poo and a few shrubbery things.

Whisky, then a slab of dead cow with sautéed mushroom and stuff.

Strimmed a mates garden this morning, built a bit more of the framework for the gite stairs and feel,like we are now living on the sun.....it's a tad warm!
Yesterday i went to a small airshow not too far away, lovely day, got sunburnt and saw some lovely old aircraft.

I'll get a holiday eventually. Trouble is, it feels like like bloody long time off with Stressbag in a permanently bad mood these days. Cider seems like the right answer right now...

I got surprisingly wet in yesterday's 'heatwave' here in The Promise Land. I had always understood the term 'heatwave' to mean wall to wall sunshine and high temperatures. I now know it means rain with low lying cloud. Every day is a school day.

Went to a mate's 50th birthday party on the weekend. Much booze was drunk and the catering was provided by the local kebab van who parked up on his front garden and fed the assembled masses. To quote bg13: "sweet!"

Still haven't booked a summer holiday so it looks like we shall be staycationing. Bah.

Evening Gimboids, long-ish day at work now on a hot sweaty train home. Upside was that 't1t Tuesday' has well and truly arrived down in the Big Smoke. Also had a chat with the hot girl in marketing on the way out who was wearing suitably 'summery' gear Vino plonko is in the fridge for when I get back.

Had a lazy day that did feature some very minor diy, cleaned the pool and went out for posh French scoff. Still blimmin hot here.

It is, checked the weather app and where we normally go in frog land is warmer than here in Cyprus.

Still, didn’t clean the pool though, a man did that, not sure who was more surprised when I walked out in my pants with a cup of tea

Afternoon folks, a strenuous day of lounging with a bit of extra lounging thrown in for good measure. Quiet round here as the lad and his squeeze went home last night, they have some serious partying to be getting on with apparently. Might have some scoff before more lounging.
Has bg gone fully French? Drinking shandy ffs. What happened to drinking enough to kill a civvy? If I ever had any respect for him, it’s long gone.

Bonjour f4ggots,

I think it was heat exhaustion that caused my minor slip into the world of 'the shandy drinking southern softie' but fear not dix, I've had beer for lunch and plan on more of the same with some grape juice thrown in for good measure.

Anyhow, enough of that frivolous blah, blah, blah. This weekend is the festival au fil du son in the local town where hordes of weird people descend for banging tunes, drugs, boozes and banging..........so I'm led to believe! The only snag is that it has rained since the festival kicked off yesterday evening! And doesn't look like letting up until it has finished. Makes I laugh!

Watched some weird roadie types chase each other around the French hills, most exciting! Got rid of some guests and welcomed some more so I've been busy cleaning and laundering stuff.

Having a lok at a local golf course venture that needs golfing type people, it may be a pile of shyte but I'll give it a wee look!

They had some crappy gig in our local park today, the only act I recognised was Neneh Cherry. Local residents had the offer of free tickets to keep them quiet but I CBA to go. Just finishing off some G&T instead

Got back from a cracking weekend mountain biking in North Wales yesterday. We were supposed to be up there until today but the weather was atrocious and there was a serious risk of drowning to death. It was 13degC and pi$$ing down when I left Llandegla but 22degC and glorious sunshine when I arrived home! My mate won a lovely set of Hope brakes in the raffle so the weekend wasn't a total wash out.
Going to clean the bikes today, have a light luncheon with the current wife and then spend the afternoon pretending I am on holiday by sitting under an oversize umbrella drinking boozes.
