Morning gits, off to sunny Madrid today for a jolly. My mission today is to get to the hotel bar in time for a drink. Tomorrow I have to present something on tax for 15 minutes and send them all to sleep. Back on Wednesday. It's a hard life!

    Evening drunkards,

    Wee fee fixed........woop!

Got first guest arriving Friday so it's all a bit manic here, been putting in fence posts, cementing a wheelchair friendly slope and did a bit of painting. More stuff of a similar nature tomorrow. Going to be a week from hell so a few beers will be had on the weekend.

Just landed in Madrid. Feeling thirsty and slightly annoyed as the bastards made us put our hand luggage in the hold as they run out of room in the cabin. This is delaying me getting to the bar...

I think you should have another cerveza to help recover from the stress of travelling economy Stevo.
Same old same old here, wife has now sprained her other ankle as a result of trying to nurse the already bad ankle. D'oh!

So she's now legless? I prefer one legged girls, they're a pushover.

Headed back from sunny Madrid, jolly over and the office beckons tomorrow. At least I'm not flying Ryanair or Sleazyjet.

    Evening d1ckwads,

Lots of diy type stuff as per usual, finished off with some tractor action so it's all good.

Thought I’d posted earlier today, so dull the forum blocked it perhaps. Wednesday was a bit meh, then I went to the pub. Beer was drunk, bollox was spoke. World is now put to rights and all will be well.
Unless I punch anyone from Farage’s shitshow tomorrow morning, they may deserve it but I should resist.

    Show off!

    Morning, bell ends.
It has been a long week in the world of defence and space. A visit to the place with the big planes was ok but I'm getting seriously fed up of the early start and the drive there and back.
However, it is nearly Friday and a Bank Holiday weekend so things are looking up. :)

This nice weather we are having has led to SWMBO declaring that we are having a barbecue tomorrow. Apparently this decision overrules any plans I may have already had and I am expected to do the food shopping, prep and cooking.

I'm reet posh, flying Iberia Express.

You need to get more into female psychology JBA. Just don't do what a mate did and ask 'Alexa' what women want. The ****ing thing didn't shut up for 3 days. Pushing on towards the long weekend. Lovely day in the Big Smoke and plenty to see out and about as a result :)

    Afternoon gusset sniffers,
Busy day at work bookended with pleasant wobbles on the pub hack. Got a message from the lad, he’s managed to break the frame on his MTB, broken through the downtube near the top. It’s certainly given good value for money, think we paid 99p about 5 years ago. Need to find something to replace it with. Ideally a cheap FS that will go up as well as down hills. Nothing flash as he will take it to uni with him.
In more interesting news I wished I had a video camera on the bike this morning as I nearly crashed the bike. Some tart in a skirt with a very high slit up the front of one leg and a see through top on distracted me and I nearly rode into a parked car.

That rules out my bikes then. Although if he needs some protective gear some of my spare stuff needs a good home. Not really fussed about getting any money for it but seems a shame and a real waste to just bin it.

    Morning wearers of neapolitan knickers,

Guests arrive for the two gites later today, a farkton of work is still required.

Once they are settled in it's time to have a few days relax and a few gallons of boozes.

Boom! It's Fryday and piggie-meat products are inbound.

Sounds like you have got everything under control, bg13. A few 5l containers of cheap red plonk from the nearest Cave should help you relax once your giterists are settled in.
I hope you will be telling them not to look in ditches or investigate the odd shaped lump in the middle of the patio.

That has a better ring to it.

Its nice and sunny in The Big Smoke so I'm going to have a nice pedal home this evening dodging 2 ton lumps of metal on the way back to my ice cold bottles of tramp fuel. I feel a strange need to go out and burn some super unleaded tomorrow as well, I guess we have to give global warming a bit of a helping hand as it's still not quite warm enough.

I remember when I was kid and we visited people in France they used to fill up massive plastic barrels with cheapo plonk from what looked like petrol pumps. It was about the same price as well.

    Morning spam daggers,

Managed boozes last night, the red didn't taste too bad last night but it doesn't feel too good now. Mate and his mrs love the gite but we've asked that they make notes on the good and the bad, hes Already pointed out that the patio is not wide enough for full wheelchair access. This means a larger patio to cover more bodies. Win win i reckon.

    Onwards to croissants

    Might have to visit...

Managed to my Dad's taxi work done for the evening and now making inroads into an unfeasibly large G&T. Busy day hark, fuelled by a massive full English with some mates and a good blast through the North Downs in The Panzer tk and from. Not a bad day all told :)

Done my stuff for the day, bit of clearimg crap and taking it to the charity shop/tip. Treated myself to a cofee with vanilla syrup in it, which I understand is a capital offence in Italy. May go for a run later to shift some lard.

    Morning felchers,
Are you confusing coffee and ice cream in your old age Stevo? Fairly chilled bank holiday which suits me. Need to collect the old dear from St Pancras as Thameslink not running, other than that serious loafing with a pub visit sounds likely.

Quite possibly, but I'm too old to care :)

Had some of Strifeys rellies round whom are visiting from Canada, just dropped them back to where they're staying in Mitcham. Good lot but didn't want to hang around there too long. Work tomorrow sadly.

    Morning, frottage fans.

Back to work with a bump after a fairly chilled if slightly frustrating long weekend. Something went 'ping' in my back on Saturday morning whilst shifting stuff in the garage. Shooting pains between my shoulder blades ever since put paid to any pedalling, but on the bright side it also meant I couldn't help SWMBO digging over the borders yesterday.

    Onwards!

Morning gardeners of the uphill variety,
Except JBA as he's old and broken so cannot partake.

Good God! They come all they way from Canadanadia and end up in Mitcham, at least it's not Hanworth. We also have Canadanadian visitors, or at least the old dear does. But we wouldn't subject them to Mitcham, they are currently in Wimbledon but unfortunately for them have just been to Sweatland.
Back to work today, at least it's a short week.
