    Evening 'Wangles,

Worst of the week is over work-wise, so I'm off home for a little drink and keep an eye on Barcelona battering Manure. WFH tomorrow so I can have a bit of a lie in.

    Hello, bell ends.
Had a cracking day at BPW on Monday. It was wet and a bit slippery in places but otherwise fine. I was obviously riding like a god - gnar to the power of rad*. It was SWMBO's first time there and she enjoyed it, which bodes well for future visits.

Went to the place with the big planes today. Getting fed up of the early start to get there but still enjoying the planes. Had a chat with a Squadron Leader today and understood about 40% of what he said as most of it was acronyms and abbreviations. I think there were some sentences that didn't contain any real words at all.

The Boy got caught speeding last week. 35mph in a 30mph zone. He's only had his licence for 4 months. Naughty Boy driving course and £92 for the pleasure of sitting it, but at least no points on his licence.

*That's a lie. I mince down the trails like a mincing thing from Minceville.

Wot no black runs? They're dead easy until you you crash.

Evening Gits, morning at home while they replaced our knackered patio door. Pity they got the wrong measurement for the window that needed replacing so they'll have to come back next week  Time for a drink soon as I'm doing Dads taxi tomorrow despite Stropteen passing her test so that's a dry Friday night for me :(

My advanced years, lack of skill and abject terror keep me well away from black runs.

Sat in Tesco café while Small and Shouty does bag packing as a fundraiser for a school netball tour to Sarth Afreekar next year. I lead such a rock n roll life.

I managed to overcome my fear of flying, trouble is I ran out talent on 'Enter the Dragon' about 18 months back and bu66ered my shoulder which is why I don't do DH any more.

Now hound sitting while the girls go to a garden centre and waste money.

Bit of an admin day here. Cold but sunny and the hound is sunbathing indoors while I surf the net. Maybe a bit of football later which I'm sure will a friendly affair :)

    Evening Bishop Bashers,

Good ride to and from work. On the way back I had to wind my way through a herd of Eco hippies blocking Waterloo Bridge to protest against climate change. They didn't see the funny side when I told them what a lovely cold day it was.

    Morning wazspangles,
Been a busy week and I've somehow knackered my back, this may be because I'm nearly as old as bg. I do believe it's Wednesday so I will be visiting a hostelry and drinking beer later. Unfortunately I should do some work first, but a supplier/customer coming in so I will have to go out for lunch to another pub.
Seems remarkably bright outside and there's bright glowing thing in the sky, is it a sign of the end of the world?

It's pretty normal for people your age.

Been working at home while we get more doors and windows replaced, and just got back from dropping Stropteen at the O2. Headed back there to pick her at 10, the joys.

    Morning, muck spreaders.

Last day in work before a week off and I intend to take loafing to new heights. The plan so far involves a visit to the canteen for a cooked piggie-based breakfast followed by an epic bout of desk tidying. After that I've got nothing so will have to wing it and try to appear occupied.

There is a rumour circulating here that although we are approaching a bank holiday weekend the weather will be good: hot even. This bodes well for some barbecue and beers action after Saturday's ride in FoD.

In other news I have ordered a new bike. A gravel bike. Very on point and uber trendy.

Morning people much older than me,

The renovation is plodding slowly towards completion, well the downstairs is! Upstairs will continue to give me nothing to write about on here for a while longer!
I am at an age where making noises when rising from a chair or getting in and out of the car is perfectly acceptable!
Stevo, hope all goes as well as can be expected with funeral shizzle.
Jba, a gravel bike? You gone all hipster/millennial on us?

Tiling kitchen bits today once I've bought some more tiles!

    Morning 'tards,
Mild Thursday morning hangover but it's like a Fryday so I'll be eating my own weight in fried pig based products later. It's quite pleasant outside as well. This is all good.

I'm clinging on to my cyclocross bike 'cos that's completely different innit. I rode my CX bike on gravel this morning, is that allowed or should I too buy a new bike?

Too right, old chum. Road bikes are so last week.
After last weekend's Tour de Gwent my aching shoulders and elbows were indication that a slightly larger, more relaxed bike is needed to cosset my aging bones.

Need you ask? You could have died riding a CX bike on gravel! N+1, innit.

    Thanks lads.

I'm knackered, took over half an hour just to get out of the bloody car park at the O2 last night - I could see the ferkin fuel gauge going down as we waited - and then couldn't gun it to make up time as I had Stropteen and her mate in the back. And I found myself making noises trying to lever myself out of the bucket seat when we got home :P

It's wine and cider for me tonight to compensate. Then a weekend of R&R - weather looks good so I think I may have to burn a bit more super unleaded at some point.

Good point, well made. This weekend I’m getting rid of a couple of bikes I’ve been given recently, or trying to sell at any rate. This means I can buy another bike surely.
Glorious weather again, is it really a four day weekend and sunny? Perfect beer drinking conditions. Picking up tickets for a band later, supposedly quite good but not heard much of their stuff.

Glorious here so have been into town to sit outside scoffing a bacon sarnie and supping coffee. Just finished lying on the sun lounger out the back - the hound is still snoozing on the patio, he'll be a bit hot when he wakes up given he's got a black fur coat on.

Out to the countrysoide this afternoon unless Stressbag changes her mind again.

    Blinkin' lovely here.
Went for a nice ride this morning on the road bike, stopping on the way back for a cream tea for breakfast. It was lush.

Lawns have been mowed, SWMBO has done something called 'gardening' and now it's time for a chill before friends descend for a barbecue this evening.

    Duh! Yes. Silly question really.
