Still got so much of the old man’s stuff to sort. No rush, plenty of time. Next thing you know 6 months have gone by.
    Wednesday means pub for me.
V, I'm eating out so have wine for company. G&T is my friend when I get home.

Trouble is I need to choose the intro and exit music for my old dears funeral when I get in tonight or else I'll have to drag my folks CD collection down South tomorrow. The thought of going through Glenn Miller/Frank Sinatra/Vera Lynn CDs may just push me into short cutting it and go for Pythons 'Always look on the bright side of life'.

I feel your pain, one of my sisters wanted Monty Python as the old man said a funeral should be a happy occasion remembering the good times. I said no and got “Smile” by Nat King Cole. A bit soppy but struck the right balance I thought. Heard it on the radio the other day and had to fight back the tears. Can’t remember the other songs.
Shame you don’t have a CD player in the new motor.

Actually I've gone for a Nat King Cole song for one of them - Unforgettable. Back down South now and a week of normality beckons before I head back up to finish off the prep.

Pear cider for me tonight - fancied something a bit different for a change. Just booked train tickets for the next trip up North end of next week, it's no more expensive than super unleaded for The Panzer and I've already put 2,000 miles on the car in 4 weeks. And I can drink on the way there.

    Morning Hershey highwaymen,
Should it be highwayfolk in these modern politically correct times? Odd that we have to be politically correct when politics is utterly ridiculous everywhere.
Lazy start to the day, got to put some clothes on and go outside shortly as a neighbour is giving me a bike that’s not being used. It’s a bit gay but should be worth a few quid if I fix it up. Other than that nothing more exciting than a trip to the opticians.

    Hello, tosspots.
I have already been for a bike ride and washed the car this morning.

Off to the theatre this afternoon for a bit of kulcher. This will be followed by tapas and wine. And beer. And gin.

The car has quite a few bugs on the front after this month's epic mileage but I CBA to wash it and have got loads of admin to do. So onwards...

    Good day cottagers,

Just been to drop off the brother in law and his girlfriend at the airport, this means some kind of reality has now returned to proceedings at Chez bg. Looks like I'll get away with an afternoon of loafing into the bargain!

    Afternoon cheese scrapers,
Lazy start followed by a trip to hospital with the large unit. He’s managed to break his heel jumping out of a tree. Waiting to see if he needs a scan or not before he gets plastered. Deep joy.

    Mmmm cheese....

Apart from the expected admin were clearing out the study (box room) ready for I to be redone so Stropteen has somewhere she can study and spread her books out without too many distraction. Good to keep busy though.

Work tomorrow although its only a 4 day week as I'm headed up North again on Thursday eve. Taking the train this time so I can have a drink on the way up.

    Morning fistees,
Another glorious day in paradise, unfortunately in the shithole that is Hanworth the weather is about as good as the are deserves. Utterly shite.
Other than that it's another busy day and I'm trying to misbehave just enough without getting sacked. Gave one of the girls a mug that say "Breasts, proof that God is a man" with a note attached saying "Saw this and thought of you". I'm not sure how but she immediately knew it was from me. Thankfully she can take a joke and I've worked with her for a very long time. I think that kind of behaviour is disapproved of in some companies.

Hopefully they are not as frequent after the initial one. I guess it could be that after the initial running in period and swarf will get removed with the oil so it has longer life, added complexities of an LSD might contribute to that. Still seems odd though.

Yep, it's an initial thing only and they never said why it's needed (you're probably right on the reason) but as it was free, WTF. Thereafter it's probably part of the normal service schedule (12,000 miles) and as I've signed up to the service plan for now I'm covered.

    Sup beeatches,

The car has chucked up a couple of warning lights, just working out how to smash the bulbs without removing the dash!

Onwards to loafing, foods and possible boozes!

Evening plasterers and people with faces like plasterers radios,

I'm on the train headed for the frozen North. Managed to accost the drinks trolley and nab a red wine so not all bad. Sometimes it beats driving :) Crap stuff to do tomorrow though.

    Morning spazwangles,
I think it’s our duty to keep using that word.
Thoughts are with you Stevo, I’ve been putting off dealing with a lot of the old man’s stuff, needs doing now though. Did you get the train because you haven’t worked out the Panzer’s stereo yet?

Morning, all you wanglers of spaz.
I am at netball with Small and Shouty. It’s usually SWMBO’s gig but I have allowed her a weekend off to meet up with old Uni’ friends.
I am so bored: netball is good to watch for about 15 minutes but after an hour it is meh.
This afternoon will be a gentle pootle up to Cwmcarn followed by bike fettling in readiness for BPW on Monday.

I suspect Stevo took the train as it is smoother and doesn’t jolt his gramophone as much as the car does.

A bit of time to plan stuff and write things down was quite handy and the train's about the same price as the petrol bill now  Also I didn't need the car once I was up North.

At least I got everything done so next time I'll be up is just before the funeral. Now headed South with a stop off in Central London to see a mate from Madrid who's in town this weekend.

Still working on the Spotify thing though.

    Morning spaaaaaaaaaaaazwaaaaaaaaaaaaaanglersssssssssssssss,

Yesterday afternoon was spent eating and a drinking with the locals, this explains the dodgy head this AM. Met a friend there whose brother is visiting with his girlfriend, he's as old as V68 and she is a good bit younger!!! Jammy tw@

Anyhoo, got a delivery of patio slabs today so a bit of manual labour will be required.

    Evening Mongles,

Busy day of jobs including checking Stropteens car before her driving test tomorrow morning. Less Dads taxi work beckons :) Otherwise busy week ahead which I'm not looking forward to much.

Mrs 13 has been cracking the whip, not sure what I've done today but it hasn't stopped! Battered now.

Diy shop tomorrow so I'll get a bit of a break!

Bastardly busy day at work but I've bailed out early anyway as junior passed her driving test so we're out for dinner to celebrate. As she's only 17 she can't have a drink so quite rightly will be driving us home - the first of hopefully many kids taxi services. It's payback time :)
