Mildly hungover today after a few beers and loud music last night. Went to see Slaves live in a club down the road, was a good laugh. Could have done without the sweaty teenagers hugging me after it finished though, I made the mistake of taking the mick out of the lad and his mates. Stevo, you need to educate Stropteen to listen to music you can enjoy.
Unfortunately that's that's lost cause. At least I'm going to see the Macc Lads in just over 3 months time :)

Evening All, spent half the day on the ferkin M5 and M4 today so a bit tired. But managed to get a bit of beach time earlier on and goodbye pig based lunch with extra coffee. Now looking forward to the weekend :)

Morning French wannabees and other assorted dix,

Nice evening out at a local town where there was a bit of a festival thing happening, had a decent thai curry and a few beers while watching some quite odd dancing and musicians, the fireworks to finish were pretty good.

Today is some final jobs on the renovation project before i go to the UK next week!

    Deffo boozes and bbq later

Very easily drunk........a bit like most of us on here!
    I was driving :(

Great place - changed loads since I went there at circa 10yrs old, love the martell rooftop bar

The people we went to see have bought a chateau complete with distillery - mmmmm moonshine

    Watcha, worms.

On the way to Pisa. Apparently some shoddy Italian builders failed to build a tower correctly so going to offer some advice for next time they have a go: “Try and get it to point straight up, you dolts!”

Just passed an Italian military base with loads of tanks and armoured troop carriers parked up. Apparently they only have 1 forward gear but 5 reverse gears.

Visited Monte Carlo yesterday. Very nice with many smart cars on display. Bloomin’ expensive place though. No chance of getting TLW’ed. I’d have been bankrupt before I was even halfway there. 2 coffees, 2 milkshakes, 3 small beers, 3 icecreams and a bottle of water was €65.

Enjoy your day, whatever you’re doing.

    Ciao for now.

Monte Carlo to Pisa? Italian motorway bridges make that wonky tower look safe
    Afternoon layabouts,
Full on day of old fogey support for me. Old man has now developed pneumonia. The old dear is understandably upset and rather worried. Stayed at the hospital most of the day. Doesn’t look like we’re going to be able to get him home at this rate. At least he’s not in pain, I suspect the stubborn old goat will hang on for a good while yet.
Anyway, I’m going out for a pint. Sitting in a beer garden with the Mrs is just what I need.

Last day of the holidays and there's shed loads to do in the office. Just as well its a short week as I'm headed to the Frozen North on Thursday.

Speaking of which, my home town gets 15 minutes of fame on the TV - one of the few places that can make Rhyll look suave and sophisticated :)

What he said. I had a day off support of old folks yesterday as both my sisters and various others appeared. Going to see the old man after work today, apparently he's picked up a bit after giving us a bit of a fright on Saturday. Later still will be beer and pizza. Just have to get through the tedium that is work. At this point an early holiday doesn't seem like such a good idea, should have done a Stevo and booked a late one as well. Mind you he's probably up to his neck in shite now he's back.

Not quite total shyte but plenty to do and had a 16 yo work experience student in tow just to slow me down that bit more. I like this two holiday thing as it gives you something to look forward to after the first one. Mind you, we only managed it this year due to Stropteen getting an extra 4 weeks off and us going away before the school holiday rip off period for the early one.

Working from home tomorrow so someone else can supervise her - you can't even delegate work to them as they're completely useless for what we do. At least we're not paying them...

Nice pedal home later followed by some vino plonko.

 Make sure you have a lie down to recover, I have to do that quite often during my 'working' day.

Off for a bit of lunch with the Mrs shortly, this will be followed by more mediocrity.

    Hola, beetches.

On the homeward leg now. Cracking, if very hot visit to Rome on Sunday was most enjoyable. I love Rome even when it is packed with tourists. Loads to see and all walkable.
Today we are in Cartagena, main base for the Spanish Navy and home to some lovely Roman ruins.
Tomorrow will be the dump that is Gibraltar. I have worked there a few times and really don’t like it. On the up side though I may be able to pick up a new pair of sunglasses for a reasonable price.

I hope all the elderly relatives are doing as well as can be expected and the support group members are bearing up.

My glass is empty so I’m off for a refill.

    Ta ta, dix.

    Now then you massive twankers,

Managed the journey from home, via the tunnel to Windsor where a variety of trains, mtubes and busses got me to the miserable hole that is Northampton!
Off to see the old man soon so will get the latest from the horses mouth so to speak.
Done Gib a few times, as bad as it smells it is great for getting lashed up on the cheap!

You have my sympathy bg. All that travel to get to Northampton. We've got an office there and I've managed to avoid it for nearly 6 years.

Day working from home as the car needed it service and MOT - which it failed. One pair of new front shock later and I'm feeling a bit poorer than this morning. Still got to get the feckers fitted next week as well. Must try harder on the new car front methinks.

I deserve a drink after all that !

Cheers for the sympathy Stevo, not a lot of positives here! Even the council, are broke, wasn't your company advising the council on financial blah was it?

Morning lovers of a good rimjob,

Saw the old boy last night, he's looking ok but is not enjoying hospital, hopefully pick, him up later, get him home then wait for the next NHS specialist to have a stab in the dark as to the way forward for him!

In other news on the way back from the hospital i fot some fish and chips, mahoosive plate full which got lathered in HP sauce (other brown sauces are available but I wouldn't bother putting them on my chips or bacons sandwiches) i then fell into what can only be described as a coma to wake up this morning and have the pleasure of driving my mother to her regular grandmas tea and chat date, ear plugs were required but i had none!

Onwards to tea, biscuits and Countdown and other quiz shows!

    Afternoon dingleberries,
Hope all is going well with the olds bg, and everyone else's come to that. Are you getting some decent English beer in the wilds of Northampton? Off to see the old man a bit later, got to drive as taking the old dear. There is a meeting at the hospital tomorrow to discuss his possible escape, just need to get him a bit more stable first. Bed has been delivered to their house now at least. I've had to postpone our trip to Amsterdam for this weekend as there's too much going on, that is dull so I will have to make up for it by doing something nearer to home.
Bunking off shortly, got a physio appointment before the hospital visit then being Wednesday I will have to go to the pub and talk bollox.
    onwards and upwards...

Nah, we flog photocopiers so our financial advice would be ropier than one of your alcopoops :)

Busy day with work experience kid in tow again but somehow I still managed to do loads, not sure how. Got to pack some stuff tonight for an early drive to the office then a trek up North in the afternoon. I've persuaded a couple of mates to head up as well and help me nuke the back garden up there, I just need to supply them with free beer.

    Morning buttwipes,

Moist day here in middle England so not a lot will be occurring until later, a visit to father is booked in where things need to come to a head, his immediate care by the ward staff is fine but the tw@s a bit higher up need to get their collective fingers out. (Minor rant over)

    Hope all have a bonjour

    Morning aris' bandits,
I know exactly what you mean bg, couldn't agree more. Meeting at the hospital today about discharging the old man, bed is installed downstairs at their gaff. Part of the meeting is what to do when he takes a turn for the worse, DNR and all that. We talked about it last night and he said he's had enough, I completely understand why he would say that and agree that it's best for him. Not very nice to hear though.
Better news with the female child's GCSE results, the girl done good would be an understatement given what she's been through the last couple of years. Very happy about that at least. Out to celebrate tonight. Hope you can say the same Stevo.

Yep, posted up the details in BB so won't repeat here. Exceeded expectations might be a good way to put it :D Slap up dinner on the cards this weekend when I'm back from oop North (where I'm headed in about an hour as my productivity is even lower than V68's normally is after getting the good news) :)

Afternoon parents of future maccy d's employees!

Quiet one here, old man is home but far from his usual self, time will help, his next lot of treatment will not!

In other news I've been off the booze for nearly a week now, as i may need to drive the old man this will be the case for another couple of weeks! The world sober is not a great place to be!

I'm sure I posted on here yesterday...must be getting old. Anyway, back garden blitzed yesterday and jobs done so will be headed back South in time to listen to the footy. Stropteen still in a good mood after her results so I'm hoping for slightly less stroppiness than usual when I get home.
