 Just remembered the bloke calling you a liar about that a little while ago, he was properly batshit. Can't leave anything unlocked in the badlands of Hanworth. We had a temp turn up on one of those Mobike hire things you can unlock with an app. The locking part of it had just been smashed off, when we told him we couldn't have him leaving an obviously stolen bike in front of the building he claimed it wasn't nicked. They are not very bright around these parts.

Enjoy the film, I mean work.

    Afternoon lesser spazwangles,

Done the last of the floor screeding, now to get the tiles down ooh it's so exciting!

Pool later, as we are guest free this means little bg will make an appearance much to the horror of mrs13!

Unfortunately I'm out of mind bleach after the V68 'golden showers' post. I'm trying to imagine it more like that old John Smiths bitter 'top bombing' advert.

Now doing a bit of sorting stuff for the hols next week as won't have time to do much in the week. If anyone is p1ssed off with the heat, don't worry - it's bound to cool down and rain now that we're going on a UK holiday.

Aah socially inadequate pondlife is back, I feel so privileged to have the friendless following me round trying to chat me up.
Makes crudders look like they belong in society.

Anyway, another day of hospital visits to the old man. Need to get the chain back on my bike at some point. First things first, go and annoy the Mrs...

    The lucky girl!

    Morning walkers, weirdo's and fishfish.

Quiet start here, croissants on the patio whilst being watched by the chickens who seem to like croissants, though they are French i suppose!

Some garden tidying in anticipation of our next gite guests today and then some more pool action to cool off!

Speaking of ponds and pools, I could go sit in our fish pond to cool off as its 3 feet deep. Might be a bit slimy though. Just looked and as we're going on hols end of this week, the temperature is forecast to plummet and it's going to p1ss with rain for 4 days on the trot. Wonderful !

Not worked out how to quote properly yet, you fishy fool?

    Hola, 4skin fiddlers.

Another trip to West Wales yesterday to see my dad in hospital. He was out of bed and in a chair which is an improvement from last week. Left at 7.00am to beat the holiday traffic on the M4 and had an easy drive down there accompanied by The Girl Child. She is good company, singing along to the radio/iPod and telling silly stories. The drive home was equally easy and then we went out for a cracking Indian meal with the MiL who is visiting for 'a few days'*.
Today I had to get The Boy to the athletics track for 7.30am to get a coach up to Solihull for an athletics competition. I took the ghey bike with me and had a nice, easy 20 mile ride around the moors and was home by 10 o'clock.

This afternoon I have mowed what is left of the lawns just in case it rains while we are away so it won't be too overgrown when we get back. This now looks like a certainty based on Stevo's holiday arrangements.

For the last few hours I have been doing what the yoof of today refer to as "chillaxing". It is good practice for holiday.

*This is an indeterminate measure that could be anything from 2 days to 2 weeks! We are going on holiday next Saturday so she had better be gone by then.

Went to see the old man in hospital, he was quite annoyed because the priest had been to see him and gave him the last rites. Dad told him to bugger off as he had no intention of going anywhere just yet.
He’s definitely perked up for having fluids and assorted other stuff pumped into him.

I’m leaving the elderly relative support group for a bit as it’s grandads funeral today - great innings so it’s ok

    Sorry to read that, TLW1.

    Morning mud pluggers,
Bit of a struggle to wake up this morning after not sleeping particularly well for most of the night, bloody irritating when that happens. Hope the funeral goes well TLW, still a bit sad but nice to celebrate a live well lived. I just need to pretend I'm still awake whilst sat at my desk, pedalling to the wilds of Tooting to visit the old man later and see if the quacks have said anything new.
Good luck with the mother in law JBA, I've never really had one as she shuffled off a few months before we got married.

    Afternoon septic tank swimmers,

    Condolences Tlw.

Hot as hell here, something you will all definitely find out about!

Cleaned the pool this morning and rodded the drains.......again! All appears good!

New guests have just arrived, they sent notice with their booking that they are on a 'romantic ' trip, this may lead to more pool cleaning than i was planning!

    Toodles.

How long to take out a restraining order in French France? Do they have time or will you be joining them uninvited?

Well you are in France bg.

Afternoon fellow members of the elderly support group. On the way home on a train that is as hot as France. Have to dog sit while Stressbag and Stropteen are out of town: may even get a bit of work done although an early cider is tempting.

Hope the funeral goes well TLW, be sure to celebrate a life well lived.

Two work days left then 10 days off :) Pity they will be quite busy. Just need to work out whether to pack warm clothes for the crap weather next week, or just drink myself warm with scrumpy.

    Evening, pillow munchers.

3 days* left in work for me before 2 weeks holiday, and I sure am looking forward to it.

Today I spent 6 hours in an Effective Feedback workshop. Nearly all the time was spent asking is to describe our hopes and fears when giving and receiving feedback but at no time were we told how deliver effective feedback.
At the end my feedback was very effective: I told the facilitator he had wasted my day.

*Technically 3, but Friday will consist of tidying my desk and deleting e-mails so only 2 effectively.

    Evening chavscum,

Did a wee scaffolding job this morning, went out for beer this afternoon and have just been in to fettle the shower in the gite, the lovely lady guest guided me to where the shower was, obviously this was a bigger pleasure for me than it was for her!

Tomorrow I'm digging a guest sized hole!

    Toodles.

    Morning muckspreaders,
Did you insist on checking the operation of the shower with said guest bg? I'm sure that has helped their romantic getaway no end.
I think JBA did well to give such effective feedback in spite of not receiving instruction in how to do so.
I'm in the office for a little while the on to elderly relative support in a big way, meeting with the docs later to find out what they think is going on and what the deal is. The old man has asked how long they think he's got.
Glad today is Wednesday, talking bollox over a beer will be much appreciated. Until then tea and coffee will have to suffice.

I reckon the gite guest probably found bg already in the shower doing an 'American Beauty'.

I had a good pedal in this morning as I didn't arrive dripping in sweat for a change. I even wore a long sleeved top FFS. This morning my main achievement was to bag a couple of invites to to overseas corporate jollies later this year, which has to be good. Just stuffing my face before I go meet the boss for the second time today.

Had to google translate "would you like to try and pull it's head off!"

    Hola berglers of the terd,

Menial tasks carried out early, just quickly gave the pool a clean as our gite guests have their two grownup twin daughters visiting! I may explode!
    Enjoy work!

Computers? Numbery things? What’s that got to do with fisting heifers?

Well that was a day I don’t wish to repeat. No surprises with the docs, it’s pretty bad. They are going to try another form of chemo but still only weeks to months depending how that goes. Then had to phone various relatives to tell them the latest. Looking forward to a beer.

Sorry to hear this V68, think I may be getting involved with this kind of news with my old man at some stage. Enjoy the beer mate.

A cold beer and talking bollox with your mates is a fine thing. By way of perspective I’m 50 and still have both my parents, that’s pretty good going. Also it’s better that we lose our parents, as a parent losing a child is far worse.
Thanks and apologies for the morose thoughts.

    Morning, rule-breakers and shower 'helpers'.

I really can't be arsed with work this week. 2 days until holidays and my motivation is lower than bg13's morals.
Today I shall entertain myself by reviewing and updating risk assessments. I know; I live a rock n roll lifestyle.

Talking of entertaining, would you all like to pop in to the Buying Advice forum and give Inkj a kicking in his 24hr Lock down thread? The bloke is a dick and needs winding up.
