That's two reasons why you shouldn't be allowed in the Crudcatcher JBA :)

What a welcome to Monday morning. :( You, sir, are a cad and a bounder.

The Boy has finished his A/S exams, thank fark. The stress and tension was getting me down. The concern now is how we can get his results as we will be on holiday on the day they come out. They can be posted home but that doesn't help. Have written to school to ask if they can be e-mailed to us but no reply yet.

Onwards to a fun-packed day of procedure reviews/rewrites...
Didn't you know this is the forum for people who don't ride bikes?

Tell me about the exam thing, ours still has another 10 days to go. Now on the train into work 2 hours behind after dropping Stropteen off for todays GCSE exam and getting stuck in the bloody traffic on tje way back home.

That's the nicest thing anyone has called Stevo in years.
Thankfully exams finish on Friday for ours, is Stropteen doing further maths? Ours was asked if she wanted to do it but said no.
Managed to ditch her and still got to work by 8.30 so that was alright.
Son of my mate that died is doing his A levels, not sure how that works but I guess they will sort something out for him. Doesn't get much worse than that.

    I took it as a compliment :D

You've obviously seen the same GCSE timetable - she has two Further Maths papers next week, on the Tuesday and the Thursday. If it wasn't for that she'd be done and dusted by the end of this week. Her A-level choices are Biology, Chemistry & Maths (wants to be a vet) so the further Maths was probably unavoidable. Still, she could have bigger problems as you mention with the son of your mate who is in the middle of A levels !

I got to work just gone 10 and still playing catch up  but that's the last time I do the GCSE taxi.

    Evening child worriers,

Borrowed an air rifle to scare the fox and it turns out it is illegal to shoot vermin with an air rifle! I reckon I'm buying a horse and a pack of dogs, that'll learn it!

Anyhoo, after a relatively sober weekend I'm off to the wine cellar (cupboard under the stairs!)for a bottle of vino.

Good excuse for an assault rifle then .

    Hello, worms.

Easy day has been had: went to another site but they had forgotten I was coming so nothing was arranged. Had a coffee and a sossidje bap, chatted to a few people and then took the long way home via a shopping mall thingy where I did some holiday clothes shopping.

Day off tomorrow for a trip to Bikepark Wales. That won't strictly count as riding a bike as it will consist mainly of pointing the bike down hill, hanging on whilst trying to steer the thing and hoping I stay the right way up.

No bg13 today. Do you thing he pointed the gun the wrong way?

I thought he was a student now, which doesnt count as a job unless you count diossing and drinking as a job.

Just got home after a good pedal and a boring day at work. I even managed to survive a HR webinar, mainly by doing some real work while I was meant to be listening.

    Hic!

    Evening chix,

Been plaster boarding the Stevo walling today, no animals or Bgs were shot during this day of graft. More plaster blah-ing tomorrow, so only one bottle of wine.
Need to get to bed as I'm as tired as someone who has survived a 'webinar' whatever the shizzle that is!

Looks like everyone has killed themselves today - not sure I fancy JBA's chances at Bike Park Wales.

Spent part of the day dealing with problem countries. Cheered up a bit by hearing that the council is taking next doors chavvy bed sit landlord to the cleaners for breaking the rules, so saves us paying to set a lawyer on her :) I think her mortgage lender needs to know as well as they don't like lending against chavvy bedsits

Been to the pub, drank beer and talked bollox. Bit somber to start with but much reminiscing about stupid stuff we got up to in the past helped.

    I survived, just!

Didn't get to ride too many trails though as I came to the bottom of one trail (Willy Waver) and found I could not let go of the bars with my left hand. I had to pull my hand off the bars and couldn't move the middle 2 fingers. They were just curled in to my palm and I couldn't feel them. Had a bit of a panic I must admit. After about 5 minutes I could move them again but had no strength in them. That was the end of the day's riding. Strength and feeling came back last night.
I must have jarred or jammed a nerve I reckon.

Apart from that it was a great day yesterday. Dry as a bone and the trails were running very fast. In some places though the dust was very slippery and that led to a few squeaky bum moments.

Will go for a quick ride this evening and see if my spassy hand works as normal.

    Afternoon willy wavers.
That's a bit freaky, hope it's alright JBA. Traditional Thursday mild hangover a little less mild than is traditional. Might have something to do with drinking more beer than usual. Good night though with quite a few turning out to celebrate the departed Godfrey. Not his real name, we just called him that because he was old and smelled of wee. Mind you, 56 doesn't seem as old as it used to.
Going to see a physioterrorist about my glassback this evening. I wonder if I'll be able to walk tomorrow. Might have to go and see my sister and the old man after that. I think it's about time somebody brought me a cup of tea.

That sounds a bit weird, may be it's your walking hand that seized up :) I've not been to BPW since late Oct and probably won't make it till about the same time this year. Ho hum. At least I had a good pedal into work on the communter today.

Tomorrow is a big meeting with HMRC so I'd better not drink too much tonight.

    Evening numb hand walkers,

Been grafting, entertaining, bitching and a moaning. Stevo walls are all but covered, I've then got to remember how to plaster!

56 is no age to get the visit of Mr G Reaper, luckily I've got many years before I'm that old!

    Evening pecker heads,

Been a busy week here plaster boarding so I'm officially farked now. Just got back from the local quiz night where my pitiful general knowledge came to no help whatsoever! Managed a bottle of red which helped the situation.

I'm thinking of starting a serious thread on here to discuss tyres, anyone fancy it? No! Ok!

Boozes, foods and diy with a variety of life threatening power tools are on the cards for moi this weekend!

I’m unemployed!!!! Until Wednesday. Then I’m officially a student again. In the meantime I’m going to sit at home watching daytime tv, drinking special brew and complaining about whatever the Daily Mail tells me to.

Good lie in was had, got a few jobs done, now relaxing and watching the kickball while the hound snoozes. Evening drive up North so got the CDs on standby as its such a boring journey. I only have the incentive of a fridge full of booze at the other end fo spur me on :)

Life as a student should be much the same but you will moan about the Daily Mail rather than what it tells you to moan about.

Food out at a close by village went as expected, boozes a plenty and some decent trough. One of the serving girls looked like she would be fun, after a few boozes so did her mum!

    Snoozes time now.

    Bloody student and other layabouts.

Today I was posh and went to watch polo. It was great and we all had much booze. SWMBO had too much booze and has passed out on our bed!
I am taking advantage of this unexpected turn of events and eating fish finger sarnies and watching rugby on the tele.

Might've looked like that, can't really remember as i was very, very drunk!

    Evening wombrats,

Day of rest here turned into a right pita, planed some wood thinner for a bit of the Stevo walling that needed strengthening, chipped a load of excess cement from two window openings, pva'd the plasterboard in the bathrooms, strimmed and mowed a fark ton of grass and now having a swift un before bed!
