The cars stuck in traffic jams did seem to be getting a bit impatient as I rode past them at 6.45 this evening. Wonder why? :) Well done Ingerland and bye bye cheating tw@t's. Next up it's the hurdy burdys.

    Morning baton twirlers,

Holed up in Brittany for a couple of days before we cross to blighty. Brace yourselves, I'm coming in dry!

Glad the footy chaps won though managed to avoid watching it, i reckon they won because of the Engerland flag on the rear of my car.
In other news the wifes father died yesterday which will not make for a fun visit to her family, he was well old, not V68 old but old and not in great health of late.

Sorry to hear about the wife's old man bg.

I thought you'd have some of those Ingerland flags on a pole that you attach to the side windows for driving around in France? Anyhow, currently stuffing my face with some rather hot chilli chicken which is making me sweat like a Sweden fan thinking about Saturday! Onwards to an afternoons delegation then a booze cruise on the Thames :)

Are they like the 'Twunt driving' warning flags? White with a red cross on them.

Phew, I should be out the country before you arrive then. Sorry to hear about Mrs bg's old man, not easy for her so you might have to tread carefully for a while. Thankfully when my FiL popped his clogs it was no major drama as he'd left when she was 5 so she didn't know the bloke and despised him anyway. The only problem was he'd written her out of his will but her older brother and sister got a cut.
Today is Wednesday so it's beer night for me, also going for a ruby as it's a mate's birthday. Got to sort some stuff out beforehand so it's all go. Looking forward to my holiday to say the least, tomorrow is my Friday then I'm gone.

Yep, thems the ones. They look even better when paired with neon 'w@nker' lights.

    Sad news bg :(

Did the long commute today (80 miles) and when I got home the wife kidnapped me and made me go to the pub - she’s a keeper

On a side note the landlord is upset I’ve been seeing other pubs, explained if you don’t show the football I will be a tart

Sorry to read about Mrs bg13's father, bg13. Look after her.

    Morning, spammers and spankers.
Today I had intended to shirk as much as possible after a frustrating site visit yesterday. However, the powers that be have other ideas and want me to write some documents quick smart for next week's RIAT at RAF Fairford. Dickwads don't want me to go though, just give them documents they can take. I can stay in the office while they guzzle champers and gorge on fine foods.

    Evening Gits,

Sitting here sweating like a bastard and all the Windows are open. Maybe more cold booze will cool me down? Went out to the Park with the women after work, there was some food fair on and we couldn't be arsed to cook. Well the wife couldn't.

    Hola Breeeeteeeesh peeeegs,

Thanks for kind words re the wifes old man.

I am here, in England, I have obviously been reveredby all who see me, that's what a shaken clenched fist means isn't it

Drove from Brittany to Calais and the tunnel and up to Derby, the traffic was as much 'fun' as i thought, on the up side you don't have to pay a parking fee when stationary on the M25 for what felt like hours. M1 no better. Mrs 13 drove this side of the water and it's apparent that the 'no use of mobile phones' while driving law is getting a good ignoring.

Anyhoo, meeting other members of the wifes family today to discuss what's happening with her dad! Should be fun! Wicked stepmum will not be consulted as she has turned a bit hostile, she was a waste of skin anyway so no one cares.

    Enjoy the heat.

At the Eurotunnel terminal getting out of here as the country’s gone to pot since bg got back. Thankfully the car parks on the motorways were facing the other direction. The joys of driving in Blighty, mind you they reckon France might be bad today.
Have fun and don’t miss me too much.

We will and we won't

I've got to wait another 5 weeks until my next holiday. He who skives last skives loudest or something like that. Nice warm pedal in this morning. Will be a very hot sweaty pedal back home later, luckily there is cold cider in the fridge and footy on the box :)

    Evening tw@s,

Made it to Lincoln via Derby with a wee pit stop to see my dad in hospital in Leicester, he doesn't look great but reckon he's got a few more years left in him!

Been to a wedding dance tonight, all very peasant and free booze! Bed now and more booze tomorrow.

Very uncruddy but been on the mtb twice today - lots of fun

Also used the cx singlespeed to go to the river to go swimming in the river with the family, almost French France style except there wasn’t a bar

    Soon is pub time

    Hola, twunts.

The weekend has been a mixed bag for this crudder.
My father took a tumble last week and was in a lot of pain afterwards. X-rays revealed 2 broken vertebrae so I had to drive over to very West Wales on Friday to visit him in hospital and also try and pacify my mother as she is struggling at the moment.
Yesterday I did next to nothing - fettled the road bike, watched Le Tour de France and had a barbecue. There was some kicking-a-ball-about on the TV but I managed to avoid that by carefully not turning the tele on.
Today I rode the Velothon Wales. Only the short route of course. After all, I'm a crudder. By the gods it was hot, and there were hills!
Now it is time for another barbecue. And beer. This evening there will be beer. Or wine. Or both.

    Evening diggers of ditches,
Good day here has consisted of lazing, lounging and generally relaxing. I saw several people on bicycles and I just thought it’s too hot and too hilly for that shizzle.
Hope the old man recovers ok JBA, and bg’s gets out of hospital. Unless of course he’s in there to hide from bg.

    Cheers, V68.
I think he'll recover from the fall but a combination of Parkinson's Disease and Post-Polio Syndrome mean he probably won't walk far again.
Mind you, he's an idle old git so that will suit him fine. :-)

Take it easy! 3 bike rides in one day could lead to expulsion from CC.

Two decent rides for me - its just like mountain biking except that the obstacles are made of metal and weigh a couple of tons each :)

    Tuesday

Not enough sleep - but I suppose that’s what happened when you don’t drink

Working from home today so no commute thankfully
