Foods and boozes with chums last night, foods and boozes with different chums this afternoon and even more foods and boozes tomorrow afternoon with some other chums, this young man needs a day off.

Sound like you'll need more than a 1 day diet :)

Morning Mongs, got the handyman round fitting ceiling fans and new lights in two of the bedrooms. We thought that blowing the warm air around would make things better. A spot of car maintenance then maybe even some exercise later

Just got back from visiting my brother in Brisbane. I asked him why he had ceiling fans when he had full on ducted air-con?

He said that in the Summer it gets so hot in Brisbane that even the air-con benefits from ceiling fans. He reckons that if you have a ceiling fan it feels like 10 degC lower, just from the faster evaporation of sweat from your skin.

We just need to fit air con then...tonight we're going to find out what it's like having hot air fanned in our direction  I think I'll have a drink to help me ignore it.

    Hello, sweaters and fan lovers.

This crudder has had a weekend of biking (first 100km+ yesterday), eating, boozing and gardening and is now aching a bit.

New flooring was laid last week in the dining room, hall and study and all the furniture, books, boxes, etc that had to be moved are still in the lounge waiting to be returned to their rightful places. I just can't be ar$ed though as the other rooms look great in their near-empty states. SWMBO doesn't agree and has started nagging. I have responded by opening another bottle of wine.

We ripped out the ceiling fans in the kitchen as we totally underestimated the heat from an aga in the summer

    Watcha, chaps.

Monday already! Where did the weekend go?
Last night’s bottles of wine have resulted in the slight suggestion of a hangover and the temperature isn’t helping. It was already 18degC when I left the house this morning.

For some reason the sausage eaters that run the company have decided that 24degC is the ideal temperature and decreed that the a/c shall be set to that in all offices across Europe. Bloomin’ maniacs.

Obviously revenge for being pipped to the post in the last World Wars. You should tell them we have laws in the UK against it being that hot because they do like rules, don't they.

It was definitely too warm for pedalling in a long sleeved top this morning, was a sweaty mess when I got to the office. Lucky we have showers...

Had to pedal home at midday so changed back into shorts and a T shirt. Got outside to find it had been warmer at 7am.

Says its 18C out there now so just about right for the pedal home. See, the rewards of not being a part timer :)

    Morning lesser beeeefcaaaakes,

Watched that avengers infinity thing last night, dozed off a couple of times but on the whole it was pretty good. Generic diy today with the added bonus of trying to persuade some feral cats to find another barn somewhere else!

    Bah!
It's raining and we just had a building evacuation (false alarm). 15 minutes stood outside. I got wet and my coffee went cold.

Not taking coffee with you is a fail as far as I'm concerned. You need to be like the bloke fleeing the London Bridge attach carrying his pint.
Started a bit late today as had to take the girl in for English GCSE today. She was a bag of nerves and wouldn't talk on the way there. Just rang me to say it was fine and she thought she'd done alright. Phew. Only another week and a half of this.
Out for beer and curry tonight, tomorrow my body will think it's Thursday.

Speaking of which I managed to eat so much Full English at our advisors round table brekkie this morning that I didn't need lunch :)

Off home to see how Stropteen did in her latest GCSE and give the hound his birthday treat as he's turned 3 today.

I've been to hell and back today. More precisely, a business trip to Daventry to do some Brexit planning but it's hard to tell the difference. Now tucking into some cold French plonk as a reward for escaping.

    Mmmm Daventry wot a hole!

    Afternoon sword swallowers,

Ordered some materials from the local 'we'll rob you blind and not care a toss shop' or builders merchants as some of you may call,it. Still, got the gear for finishing off the flooring and the plasterboard for the Stevo walls.

I'm now about to go and do some Stevo wall fettling.

Have fun with my walls bg.

No trips to hell today and the bike ride to work was pretty good even if I am effing slow. Only two weeks to end of GCSE torture and sunny holidays. In the meantime, roll on the bloody weekend.

    Evening cheese wands,

Suppose it's quiet in here as Op Yewtree has finally caught up with them! Not sure how you slipped through the net Stevo.

Lovely afternoon at a chums having foods and water as i was driving!

Had a fox sniffing around the hens this morning and this evening so the priority tomorrow Is to get a shooter to deter it! Doubt i could hit a cows arse with a banjo but I'll do me best!

Have a lush monday weird uns!

    Hello ...ello ...llo ...lo ...o o o o o

Everyone must be out riding bikes in the fine weather.

This weekend I have ridden a mountain bike - good as it involved breakfast at Cwmcarn and a road bike - bad as it was too hot, no cafes were open and it hurt.
Last evening I went with SWMBO to see Stereophonics in concert and it was brilliant. A proper greatest hits set that really got the crowd going. There was beer as well for added awesomeness.

Barbecue and a bottle of plonk this evening was a good way to round the weekend off.

I think you'll do more than just deter the fecker if you shoot it bg :) Still, it's probably a delicacy over in frogland, so double win there.

    Evening ditch diggers,
Bit of a quiet weekend. One of my Wednesday night drinking buddies popped his clogs on Friday morning so I decided work wasn't a priority and went to the pub with a few of the others for the afternoon. It wasn't unexpected and he was in a pretty bad way to say the least, bit of a shocker all the same. Even if he was older than Stevo. Had to do some running around for the 'rents as the old dear has gone to Italy for a week. Didn't ride a bike today, went to the pub instead.
Tomorrow morning is delivering the girl to school for a GCSE then back to the grindstone and sort the sh!t out from Fryday.

What a welcome to Monday morning. :( You, sir, are a cad and a bounder.

The Boy has finished his A/S exams, thank fark. The stress and tension was getting me down. The concern now is how we can get his results as we will be on holiday on the day they come out. They can be posted home but that doesn't help. Have written to school to ask if they can be e-mailed to us but no reply yet.

Onwards to a fun-packed day of procedure reviews/rewrites...
